This is a nice change of pace when it come to The Dark Knight Rises publicity as of late. Instead of city shots or photo snaps of actors on set, we get our first glimpse at the newly renovated Batcave. Compared to the stony architecture found in Batman Begins, this headquarters for the Caped Crusader is relatively high-tech with an emphasis on being computer savvy.
Bright lights abound, and this look seems more in tune with how the Batcave was fashioned in Batman: The Animated Series. For set photos they do a great job of displaying the enormity of it all, the crew on this film has definitely put together something special here. Either Batman spends a lot of time in his new revamped crib or maybe there’s a large action sequence filmed here.
Rumors have already circulated (it was just a matter of time) that the Batcave is featured in the last shot of the teaser trailer where Bane is lumbering towards a beaten Batman. Probably just another silly idea generated by someone with too much time on their hands, but it’s an interesting assumption.
However you take them, the photos are sure to increase anticipation for the much-hyped third and final installment to Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy reboot, set to hit theaters on July 20, 2012.
