Several new screenshots from Cyanide Studio's Of Orcs and Men have surfaced, showing off some of the game's environments, plus a bit of monster on human combat.
If there's one thing I know, it's that gamers love helping Italian plumbers save the day. That helps to explain why Mario and Luigi have almost become synonymous with the interactive hobby, having enjoyed a three decade-long run of popularity on Nintendo platforms, which doesn't look like it'll end anytime soon. Then again, who can resist the pair's perfectly tuned jumping mechanics and colourful gameplay? I know that I can't.
It seems that Nuketown will be returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. That is, to those who pre-order the much-anticipated shooter. Last night, an image taken at a North American GameStop location made its way on to IGN. It shows an advertisement which states that Nuketown 2025 (seemingly a futuristic representation of the chaotic map from the first game,) will be made available to those who put down a pre-order deposit. Furthermore, a "limited edition pack" is made mention of, as Activision seems to have taken a page out of its competitors' books by offering a first run special edition upgrade to early adopters.
A hockey team's goaltender provides its last line of defence, and is one of the most important pieces of any championship-winning puzzle. That's why the best tenders in the National Hockey League command the big bucks, and raise the ire of their team's fans whenever things aren't going right. Granted, when things go well, fans will praise their favourite puck stopper like there's no tomorrow.
If you've been itching for a new interactive rally racing option, then Jeremy McGrath's Offroad Racing may be the answer. Released on to both Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network this week, the high-octane racer promises fans of the genre an affordable and exciting experience.
Now that The Avengers have had their time in the spotlight, the summer of 2012 looks to belong to Peter Parker and his arachnid powers. The radioactive superhero is making a return to theatres on July 3, thanks to an all-new reboot, but that's not all. The film's video game companion is in North American stores right now, with the same title as its celluloid peer: The Amazing Spider-Man. Though, it's important to note that the interactive romp through New York City is actually a sequel, as opposed to something that follows the film through verbatim means.
Brave: The Video Game is a serviceable interactive representation of the Disney/Pixar blockbuster, but unless you're a big fan of the movie, I'd re-consider purchasing this one.
Fighting game fanatics love crossovers, as well as games that pit their favourite characters against each other. That's why Nintendo's 1999 release of Super Smash Bros. became such a phenomenon, making it a no-brainer that folks would express their interest in a digital release that would pit Sony's impressive stable of unique creations against one another. After all, who wouldn't want to pit Kratos against Sly Cooper? They're about as different as you can get when it comes to video game protagonists, which sets the tone for a rather creative battle.
As it turns out, Jason Brody's trip to paradise will occur later than expected. Ubisoft just announced that news, stating that Far Cry 3 will bring the traveller's nightmare to digital life on December 4th here in North America.
Has hours upon hours of questing left you feeling like you've explored all of Skyrim's ins and outs? If so, then tomorrow will bring with it a new reason to dive back into the gigantic interactive world, as Bethesda Softworks has confirmed a June 26 release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dawnguard.
