OK. So, Retro City Rampage is going to miss out on its targeted May release window unless it miraculously finishes bug testing in the next few hours. To soften that blow a bit, a new gameplay trailer was released, featuring one of the many guest co-stars we can expect to encounter.
Diablo III was unplayable again earlier this week when Blizzard released a new patch and the flood of players once again broke the game's servers. As asinine as this concept is, the good news is that everything should be back to normal, and there are a few new changes you can look forward to.
Coming up with original ideas is hard. Luckily, Electronic Arts has no real intention of doing so and is satisfied with copying their competitors in any way they can. Starting June 4th, EA will reportedly introduce Battlefield Premium, allowing players access to the controversial service.
The latest pay-what-you-want bundle features Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Psychonauts, Limbo and Superbrothers Sword & Sorcery EP. If this somehow isn’t enough to get your jimmes rustled (you may want to make sure you have a pulse) if you beat the average you’ll also pick up a copy of Bastion. This is easily the best collection of games they’ve had available. Hell, Bastion and Psychonauts are two of the greatest games ever made on their own. You owe it to yourself (and your wallet) to pick these up now if you haven’t had the chance. Throw in an extra buck or two for the EFF and Child’s Play Charity for a quick bit of karma.
I really have to give credit to Namco Bandai with how well they’ve handled this. The usual response to an online petition is a quip on how hard it is to hear from on top of a pile of money, but Namco Bandi has seemingly held on to ever word. When they recently decided to indeed push Dark Souls to PC, it was originally slated to be exclusive for Games for Windows Live, but after yet another petition they’ve confirmed that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition will also be releasing on Steam.
Sniper Elite V2 isn't a bad game. However, it simply doesn't offer enough to justify its price tag. The things it does well are done brilliantly, but they're buried beneath quite a few misfires.
Do you know what the definition of insanity is? Doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting a different result. Far Cry 3 has been teasing that it will drag us a bit closer towards insanity since it was first revealed, and Ubisoft has decided to dangle the carrot in front of us again, by promising to drop some mind-blowing new information during its E3 press conference on June 4th.
Man, I’m getting good at this whole prediction thing. We were just talking about E3 and what we should expect. One of the major topics was if we should be expecting a Castlevania 3DS game. Well, in a leaked copy of next month’s Nintendo Power, it’s been revealed that we can expect just that.
Diablo III may not surpass its older brothers, but right now it’s one of the best hack-and-slash RPG’s on the market. I just don’t know if it will be enough to hold us over for another 12 years.
When Payday: The Heist was first announced, the collective train of thought was something along the lines of: “It’s Left 4 Dead, but without zombies and with more bank robberies.” The two games have been impossible to separate entirely based on the fact that they share the four person first-person co-op experience against seemingly impossible odds. Rather than trying to combat it anymore, Valve has teamed up with Overkill Software, in order to make an official crossover.
