The Mandalorian May Be Making Moff Gideon Into Its Own Darth Vader
One of my favorite things about The Mandalorian is its smaller scale. Whereas the movies are all about planet-destroying superweapons and battles to decide the fate of the galaxy, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni keep the show low key and personal. Here, a squad of Stormtroopers feels like a genuine threat and the dramatic and exciting conclusion of the first season revolved around a single TIE Fighter.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space 2 Might Be Happening At Netflix
Coulrophobics beware, because Killer Klowns from Outer Space 2 might be coming to Netflix. The 1988 movie will be well-known to VHS fans of a certain era and is about an attack on Earth by evil aliens who all look like circus clowns. The creatures plot to take over a small town in order to farm the human inhabitants as food. On its 1988 release, it was fairly well received and has gone on to be considered a low-key VHS-era horror classic.

The Mandalorian Had A Sneaky Snoke Reference Last Episode
So far, The Mandalorian has been happy to carve out its own path in the Outer Rim. While the galaxy is still reacting to the fall of the Empire after Return of the Jedi, these characters have their own problems and the adventures of Luke, Han and Leia feel a long way away. But in the last episode, "The Siege," the show hinted that it might begin setting up the Sequel Trilogy, which starts about 25 years after the events of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian May Be Tying Directly Into The Sequel Trilogy
Despite taking place in the period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, The Mandalorian has so far avoided major nods to Disney's Sequel Trilogy. This makes sense given that the show's setting is the aftermath of the fall of the Empire, depicting the New Republic establishing itself and the last Imperial remnants fragmenting. But that may have changed with the most recent episode, "The Siege."

The Mandalorian’s Latest Episode Referenced A Classic Star Wars Video Game
The most recent episode of The Mandalorian ended with the reappearance of Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon, now sporting a stylish and extremely Darth Vader-esque outfit. It was revealed that he's had a secret tracking beacon installed on the Razor Crest and seems set to hunt down Din Djarin and steal Baby Yoda in the next installment. And having failed to achieve this in the season 1 finale, he's not taking any chances, as surrounding him were two rows of intimidating-looking black Stormtrooper gear.
