Warner Bros. Reportedly Wants Robert Pattinson’s Batman In Space Jam 2
When Warner Bros. says "everybody get up, it's time to slam now, we got a real jam goin' down, welcome to the Space Jam," they really mean everybody. Space Jam 2 completed filming last September, though given the nature of the movie, it's destined for a lengthy post-production process and won't hit cinemas until July 2021. LeBron James will be taking over from Michael Jordan, with the film directed by Malcolm D. Lee, a script by Creed and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler and a score by Hans Zimmer.

Despite his characters generally enduring all kinds of ridiculous situations and performing insane feats of heroism, Dwayne Johnson has never played a comic book superhuman. That's all set to change with Black Adam though, which will see Johnson transformed into the titular villain/antihero. The project has had a long road towards its shoot, hampered by his busy filming schedule and various scheduling conflicts within Warner Bros. But finally, that's all cleared up now.

The Matrix 4 Star Reportedly Cast In Mad Max Furiosa Prequel
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is killing it at the moment. Not content with somehow making Aquaman's Black Manta into a genuinely compelling villain, he also impressed everyone in Jordan Peele's Us and was one of the best things about HBO's Watchmen. His star is only set to rise over the coming year, too, with this summer seeing him take a lead role in Candyman and featuring in The Matrix 4.

Josh Gad Reportedly Eyed For Main Villain In Todd McFarlane’s Spawn
After a very long wait, all the pieces are finally falling into place for Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. He’s got a great cast, including Jamie Foxx as the supernatural anti-hero and Jeremy Renner as NYPD detective Twitch, an impressive behind the scenes crew including The Walking Dead‘s gore guru Greg Nicotero and a novel script with an interesting angle on the supernatural antihero. But for so long the film has been held up, with McFarlane unable to convince a studio to officially greenlight the film.

The Dark Knight Star Reportedly Eyed To Play DCEU’s Female Joker
Warner Bros is definitely coming down with a serious case of Joker fever. The character was already renowned as a money-spinner, but the barnstorming critical and commercial success of Joker has lit a fire under the company. We're hearing rumors that they want to expand Joker into a 'Jokerverse', that they want to introduce a rival Joker for Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck to take on, that they want to find a Joker to face off against Robert Pattinson's Batman in The Batman sequels and now they are apparently making plans for a female Joker to appear in the DCEU.

Star Trek: Picard Just Killed Off A Beloved Next Generation Character
Star Trek: Picard started strongly but felt like it was dragging its heels midseason. The first episode presented a genuinely cool conundrum and believable motivation for the titular captain, but it feels like it's taken most of the series for him to get from A to B. Fortunately, the last few episodes kicked things up a notch, with Picard finally teaming up with Soji, Data's sort of-daughter. But this week's episode, in particular, should generate a lot of discussion, as it not only shows Picard's long-awaited reunion with Riker and Troi, but kills off a beloved Next Generation character, too.

Tom Ellis Finalizes Deal For Lucifer Season 6 Contract
Lucifer fans rejoice, because star Tom Ellis has finalized his deal with Netflix to return to the show for a sixth season. In addition, showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich are also on board, as well as other cast members with pre-existing deals. Lucifer has had a long and winding road to get to this point. The show premiered on Fox in 2016, only to be cancelled in 2018 after three seasons. But fans didn't take that lightly, successfully campaigning to get the show picked up by Netflix. This second chance has seen two more seasons released, though many assumed the fifth season would be the last.
