Fans rejoiced when it was announced that Game of Thrones showrunners  David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were going to be helming their own Star Wars trilogy. Then everyone saw the final season of the HBO hit and that excitement quickly curdled. In what felt like the blink of an eye the pair were suddenly in the middle of a PR nightmare, with their formerly loyal fans turning on them as they were accused of ruining the show they'd helmed. All this meant it wasn't a huge surprise when they were unceremoniously booted off their planned Star Wars trilogy earlier this week.

Main Villain For Moon Knight TV Show’s Reportedly Been Revealed
The announcement that Marvel Studios were developing a Moon Knight series for Disney Plus came as a pleasant surprise. Moon Knight has long been a cult favorite in the comics, yet most assumed that he flew too under the radar for the MCU to consider bringing him into live-action. But it seems that he's one of Kevin Feige's top heroes and as such, the world is about to be introduced to the dark and supernatural powers of Marc Spector, aka the Moon Knight.

Warner Bros. Says They Never Thought Joker Would Inspire Violence
Prior to Joker's release, after it had turned heads by picking up the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, there was a panic that it was somehow dangerous. Opinion columnists weighed in, arguing that it was irresponsible to release it as it may inspire violence, it was some kind of incel fantasy, and/or that it was insensitive when taking into account the 2012 Dark Knight Rises shooting in Aurora.

Warner Bros. Officially Begins Joker’s Oscar Campaign
Nobody expected Joker to win the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Up to that point, Todd Phillips' movie had been picking up some buzz due to its Martin Scorsese connection and positive reports of Joaquin Phoenix's performance. After its big win though, things went a bit nuts, resulting in a strange backlash against the film prior to its release. All that publicity turned out to be a boon for the pic though, which has just become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time and may yet crack the $1 billion mark.

Jurassic World 3 Director Says The Film’s Kind Of Like Jurassic Park 6
I was watching Jurassic Park a few weeks ago and marveling at how well it's constructed. The direction, script, performances and special effects all combine to create a movie where every single scene has something memorable happening. Sadly, the same cannot be said for its sequels, which range from mediocre to straight-up bad. Despite this, they've been sauropod-sized hits at the global box office, with Jurassic World 3 scheduled for a 2021 release.
