Bill Murray Confirmed To Return For Ghostbusters 3
The involvement of Bill Murray in a Ghostbusters II sequel has been in question for almost thirty years. Over that time, there've been various attempts to revive the franchise, with Murray repeatedly saying that he just wasn't interested in returning to the role of Peter Venkman. But now, we have word that he's definitely going to appear in next year's Ghostbusters 3.

Fast & Furious 9 Will Take The Franchise Into Space
We all knew it was going to happen at some point: Fast & Furious 9 is going to space. The long-running franchise has caused vehicular havoc all over the world, but it seems that one planet just isn't enough to contain action this intense. After all, the action has been gradually becoming more and more outrageous the longer the franchise extends, with the most recent spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw essentially being a superhero movie in disguise.

Thor: Ragnarok Has An Ed Norton Hulk Easter Egg That We All Missed
2008's The Incredible Hulk has been largely forgotten in the grand scale of things, presumably because it features Edward Norton rather than Mark Ruffalo in the lead role (well, that and it's not a particularly good movie). However, minor elements from it have been popping up ever since. Most prominent is William Hurt's General "Thunderbolt" Ross, but the film also featured our first look at a form of the super-soldier serum and a tease at how Bruce Banner would become able to summon the Hulk at will in The Avengers.

Disney Says They’re Confident The MCU Will Be Popular Forever
They say pride comes before a fall. Disney chief creative officer and co-chairman Alan Horn might want to keep that in mind, because he's just claimed that the MCU will never die. Presumably, this means that Disney and Marvel Studios will continue making movies forever, with generation after generation of actors, directors and writers finding new spins on their superhero stable.

Jamie Lee Curtis Reveals First Footage From Halloween Kills
Last year's Halloween breathed new life into the iconic slasher franchise, managing to capture the atmosphere and brutality of the original movie while putting a contemporary spin on things. I thought it was an excellent horror film (and I particularly loved John Carpenter's score). So when it was announced that they were working on two new entries in the series to be filmed back-to-back I was over the moon. They'll be Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, and now we have our first look at what'll be scaring the crap out of us this time next year.

The Future Of Star Wars Will Reportedly Be Very Female
Whatever your opinions on the quality of Disney's Sequel Trilogy, it's undeniable that they've succeeded in their goal of making Star Wars more attractive to women. Having Daisy Ridley's Rey as the focus was a big help, as were strong characters like Carrie Fisher's General Leia, Kelly Marie Tran's Rose Tico and Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso. They bring a nice bit of balance to what had previously been a series focused on the trials and tribulations of men, and now it seems that Lucasfilm is determined to bring the same balance to the other side of the camera.
