The CW Reveal The Official Logo For Crisis On Infinite Earths
Crisis on Infinite Earths is almost here. This year's annual Arrowverse crossover promises to be the biggest so far, adapting one of the most renowned events in the history of DC comics. That'd be exciting enough, but it’s going to feature characters and actors from DC’s long history on the silver and small screens. We’re getting Burt Ward from Batman ’66, Tom Welling from Smallville and possibly Lynda Carter from Wonder Woman. Brandon Routh is getting back into the cape, too, as Kingdom Come Superman, and longtime voice of Batman Kevin Conroy will finally be playing Bruce Wayne in live-action. But the surprises don’t stop there, as Michael Keaton’s Dark Knight may also appear (even if just in a picture).

Paul Walker’s Role In Fast & Furious 9 Will Be More Than A Cameo
Earlier this week, we reported that Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner would be returning for Fast & Furious 9. While the franchise has a record of bringing back former cast members, Walker's return is slightly unexpected given that he tragically died in 2013. The actor made a posthumous appearance in Furious 7, appearing on screen with the help of WETA Digital and with his brothers Caleb and Cody as on-set stand-ins, but now we've heard that they're seeking a fresh body double for additional scenes in the next film.

Avengers: Endgame Writers Defend The All-Female Scene Again
Avengers: Endgame had to live up to some extremely high expectations. With Infinity War providing a ludicrous amount of superhero action, it felt impossible to truly top it. But, the finale of the movie, where every MCU hero to date teams up to battle Thanos’ army, caused jaws to drop in theaters around the world. One of the most memorable moments of this sequence came when practically every female hero in the MCU appeared in the same shot together, before wreaking havoc on Thanos' army.

WB Wants More Diversity And R-Rated Movies In The DCEU
Warner Bros had a rough few years. Enviously eyeing the MCU's success, they decided there was no reason they couldn't do the same with their stable of DC heroes. The end result of that experiment was the crushing critical and box office failure of Justice League. But since then they've been steadily bouncing back. Aquaman was a huge success and while Shazam! maybe could have made a bit more money, it was still a great movie. But the recent cherry on top of their cake is Joker. Made on a slim $55m budget, the movie has now made $938m at the box office, smashed the record for the highest-grossing R-rated movie and is widely expected to receive nods during awards season.

The Boys Season 2 Has Now Wrapped, Will Release Mid-2020
Amazon's The Boys was one of the nicest surprises of the year. I read some of Garth Ennis' original comic upon its release, but it felt a little too self-consciously offensive so I gave up mid-way through the run. When The Boys premiered, I tuned in with fairly low expectations, but it completely blew me away. I watched most of it in a single-sitting, hoovering up its wicked sense of humor, excellent performances and surprisingly sincere core. With season 1 ending on a twist, I immediately set to finding out when we'd get more of it.

Captain America Writers Say Chris Evans Returning To MCU Would Hurt Avengers: Endgame
Last week, we heard that Chris Evans was rumored to cameo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with Evans playing the older version of the character we saw in the finale of Avengers: Endgame. I was hoping this wasn't true, as Rogers got a great send-off in Endgame and the emotion of the moment would only be undercut by his return. Plus, with the Disney Plus series set to be about the friction of his decision to choose Falcon as his replacement, him actually returning would only muddy the dramatic waters.

Avengers: Endgame Will Be Available On Disney Plus At Launch
Disney's ambitions for Disney Plus are sky-high. The new streaming network will launch with the premiere of the hotly anticipated The Mandalorianand feature vast swathes of Disney's existing back catalogue. It will also soon become a crucial part of the MCU line-up, with shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Wandavision, Loki, What If... and Hawkeye coming (as well as many others in the future). None of those will be available at launch though, with roughly a year's wait until we can see the friction over Falcon getting the mantle of Captain America. But MCU fans won't be left on the cold on November 12th, as Disney have just announced that Avengers: Endgame will be available on launch day.

Ezra Miller’s Flash Solo Movie Delayed Once Again
For the fastest man on Earth, the Flash is getting kinda late. First announced back in 2014, Warner Bros. said that the Scarlet Speedster's first solo outing would land in 2018 and star Ezra Miller. Since then, the project has been in development hell and gone through a number of directors, with the film's problems compounded by the studio reevaluating their DCEU plans after the failure of Justice League and Miller being busy with the ongoing Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Terminator: Dark Fate May Lose Over $120 Million At The Box Office
If the Terminator franchise were an actual Terminator, Rise of the Machines would have scarred its fleshy exterior, Salvation would have blown off a robotic arm, Genisys reduced it to a crawling metal skeleton and now, Terminator: Dark Fate has crushed it flat in a hydraulic press. Yup, the latest reports on the film are that following an absolutely disastrous $29 million opening weekend, it may be set to lose as much as $120 million.

Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian is definitely the centerpiece of the Disney Plus launch. The new series promises to shed some light on the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, boasts an impressive cast, has had absolutely kickass trailers and has already been wowing critics. Its November 12th premiere date is now just over a week away, and Disney and Lucasfilm are pulling out all the stops to raise the show's profile.
