I'm a writer/editor who's been at the site since 2015. I cover politics, weird history, video games and... well, anything really. Keep it breezy, keep it light, keep it straightforward.
Ever since it was first announced, I've been dying to know more about Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek project. The director's brand of fast-talking, blood-soaked OTT thriller seems totally at odds with the Trek universe, but maybe in this instance opposites will attract.
One of the neatest things about a new season of The Flash is finding out which parallel universe incarnation of Tom Kavanagh's Harrison Wells will be introduced. In the rookie outing, we met the Wells of Earth-1, who was responsible for Barry Allen receiving his powers. In season 2, he was Harry Wells, season 3 writer H.R. Wells, the Council of Wills and the Council of Harrisons in season 4, and detective Sherloque Wells in season 5.
As the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will wrap up story strands that have been developing ever since Princess Leia dispatched C-3PO and R2-D2 to seek out Obi-Wan's help on Tatooine. To do this satisfyingly, director J.J. Abrams is going to need to reference events and characters from across the saga, and now we have a hint of who might be appearing in the movie.
The Avengers: Endgame home video commentary reveals why Captain America delivered the iconic catchphrase "Avengers assemble" in such an interesting way.
For a very long time Batman has been the proverbial elephant in the room for the Arrowverse. His existence in the Arrowverse has been alluded to many times over the years in multiple CW shows, with him finally being outright named during their 2018 Elseworlds crossover and then in the Batwoman pilot. Even so, we've never actually seen him in the flesh. That's set to change in this year's big crossover: Crisis On Infinite Earths. This will loosely adapt the classic comic book story of the same name and see versions of heroes from various alternate universes meet.
While it may be the middle of summer, horror doesn't seem to be taking a holiday this year. This month is set to see an astonishing amount of horror movies hitting theaters, with some seriously interesting projects in the line-up. Let's go through them quickly and see what looks most promising.
Tony Stark's relationship with Peter Parker has become an incredibly important part of the MCU. Tom Holland's Spider-Man was first introduced in Captain America: Civil War being tutored by Stark, with that mentorship continuing through Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War. Stark's death in Avengers: Endgame didn't halt that, with much of Spider-Man: Far From Home being about how Peter deals with Stark's legacy. On top of that, if it weren't for their relationship it's doubtful that Stark would have committed himself to Endgame's time travel shenanigans.
The Avengers: Endgame home release has allowed fans to explore the movie in more detail than ever before. Not only does the excellent commentary track provide a ton of behind-the-scenes detail about how the film was made, but simply being able to pause and study it has enabled some forensic analysis of what's going on in the busier shots. This analysis has primarily focused on the titanic battle at the movie's climax, when every MCU superhero to date turns up to throw down against Thanos' army. But there's one element that has some fans scratching their heads.
