Ghostbusters 3 is arriving in under a year, and director Jason Reitman has now teased the project with a look at how the Ecto-1 is doing 35 years later.
Venom overcame an (extremely unfair) critical mauling to become an $856 million smash, with audiences worldwide taking to the bromance between Tom Hardy and a slimy alien goo monster. It was a superhero movie with a distinct personality, anchored by a very fun dual performance from Hardy and a witty script. But with the film proving to be a hit and ending with a teaser for a sequel starring Woody Harrelson's Carnage, you'd expect a follow-up to be fast-tracked. So far though, we've heard nothing about Venom 2.
Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo are set for a hero's welcome at Comic-Con, but could they be teasing a big announcement at their panel?
With Phase 3 of the MCU now finally complete, fans are eagerly looking forward to what's coming in Phase 4. Marvel Studios' plans for the next couple of years are widely expected to be outlined at next week's San Diego Comic-Con, with fresh information expected about Shang-Chi, The Eternals, Black Panther 2 and Doctor Strange 2. But all of those movies are some way off yet, with The Eternals arriving in summer 2020. This leaves only one currently-in-production movie that has a realistic chance of getting a trailer at the panel: Black Widow.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard is one of the most beloved characters in the long history of Star Trek. His tactical skills, bravery, diplomatic talents and iron determination have cemented him as the mode of what a starship captain should be. So how do you improve upon a character this well established and adored? You give him a cute as all hell dog, that's how. CBS has just released a new poster for Star Trek: Picard, showing Jean-Luc relaxing in the Picard vineyard alongside his new canine companion (who is sporting a delightful Federation delta marked '1' on his collar).
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to not only conclude Disney's popular sequel trilogy, but also the epic 'Skywalker Saga'. Within the films' chronology, it means the storyline began in The Phantom Menace will finally, finally reach its conclusion. So far signs are positive: the first trailer looked great and pretty much everything we've heard to date makes the film sound pretty special. With the San Diego Comic-Con about to begin in a week, many fans could be forgiven for assuming that we'll get a fresh look at the movie. Sadly, LucasFilm and Disney has confirmed there won't be a The Rise of Skywalker panel. But don't worry, all hope isn't lost as they've revealed a new character whose merchandise will be exclusively available at Comic-Con.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge arrived on a wave of hype, promising to offer fans the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in a galaxy far, far away. Judging by the impressions of those who attended advance previews, they achieved this. In fact, for the first few weeks there were reports that Galaxy's Edge was the hottest ticket in town. But now that it's no longer the big new thing, it seems that it's not proving to be the blockbusting smash that Disney had prepared for.
