James Wan Will Direct A New Horror Film Before Aquaman 2
For a very long time Aquaman looked like it might be a box office bomb of epic proportions. Warner Bros' DCEU still reeling from the abject disaster of Justice League, we went months and months without a trailer and there was vicious Hollywood gossip about behind-the-scenes drama. And, on top of all that, this was an Aquaman film. For the last two decades the character has been a figure of fun and the butt of 'talks to fish' jokes. Then it finally saw release and... it was great!

All said, James Gunn has done very well out of the controversy that saw him unceremoniously kicked off Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The manufactured outrage based on decade-old tweets had him being booted off the project, and while he was apparently never officially fired, he spent his time in the wilderness being courted by rival companies eager for his magic touch.

Halloween Sequels To Begin Filming This September
You just can't keep Michael Myers down. Despite being incinerated underneath Laurie Strode's house in last year's Halloween, the unstoppably brutal killer will be back in both 2020 and 2021 for Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. The double-bill was announced last week, with director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride returning, along with Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. They're set to be released in October 2020 and 2021, but we now have confirmation that they'll be filmed back-to-back this September:

New Titans Season 2 Set Pic Shows Deathstroke In Action
I still feel pretty bad about how negative I was towards Titans. In my defence, everything about it looked terrible. The costumes looked cheap, the special effects were laughable and the trailers were way too try-hard. Then the show arrived and... it was actually really great! This version of the DC Universe quickly got its hooks into me, and since Titans I've eagerly hoovered up Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing. So, I'm very much looking forward to season 2 of Titans, which is currently being shot.
