Black Panther’s Ryan Coogler Recalls His First Time Seeing Iron Man In New Video
It's still kind of surreal that the original Iron Man is now a decade old, eh? At the time, it burst onto the scene with top-notch action, irreverent (and apparently largely improvised) dialogue and a career-resurrecting performance by Robert Downey Jr. Not only that, but the film birthed the MCU, which has gone on to dominate multiplexes worldwide, recently crossing the $17 billion mark. A big part of that success was Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, of course, which exceeded all projections to claw in an astonishing $1.3 billion at the box office.

The Resurrected Superman Fight In Justice League Was Originally At The Start
With the ugly caterpillar that was the DCEU shaking off its chrysalis to emerge as the (hopefully) beautiful butterfly that is Worlds of DC, it's looking like our chances of ever seeing the fabled 'Snyder Cut' of Justice League are dwindling by the day. While multiple scenes from the original cut from the film have been released and leaked online, there's still much we don't know about what the original vision for the movie looked like. But now a little piece of the puzzle has fallen into place thanks to Marc McClure who played Jimmy Olsen in 1978's Superman: The Movie and had a cameo as a police officer in Justice League.

HBO Says They Have Very High Hopes For Watchmen TV Show
With the dragons, swords n' sex of Game of Thrones finally set to wrap up in the first half of 2019, there's a gap in HBO's schedule that must be filled. Fortunately, HBO already has a strong candidate for they hope could be their next flagship series - Watchmen. At a Television Critics Association event, HBO President Casey Bloys was discussing Damon Lindelof's plans for his adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon's iconic graphic novel - generally considered the Citizen Kane of superhero stories.

Studio Execs Tried To Convince David S. Goyer To Make Blade White
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to skate uphill." That's just one of the many pearls of wisdom we got from the Blade films, a comic book trilogy that prefigured and influenced the current dominance of superhero movies worldwide. While it's probably best to ignore Trinity (Wesley Snipes certainly did during the shoot), the first two Blade pics are perfect pop-infused horror action films powered by Snipes' impressive charisma.

Sony’s Spider-Man Spinoff Silver & Black Reportedly Stuck In Development
Though Venom is looking pretty great and Morbius looks to be moving into production impressively quickly, the black sheep of the Spider-verse family, Silver and Black looks like it's still stuck in development hell. The film would follow two prominent female characters in the Spiderverse, Silver Sablinova aka Silver Sable and Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat. Not much else is known about the project other than that it's set to be directed by Cloak & Dagger director Gina Prince-Bythewood.

The Predator Producer Is Hoping For A New Trilogy
Predators and Shane Black are two things I very much enjoy. The original Predator is one of my all-time favorite monster/action movies and I adore Shane Black's way with dialogue (I still think Iron Man 3 is one of the top three best MCU films). Despite that, The Predator isn't doing much for me at the moment. Maybe it's that unconvincing trailer that showed off a rather cheap-looking movie, maybe it's the unnecessary inclusion of a 'super-Predator', maybe the acting just seemed a bit corny... I'm hoping it was just a bad trailer.

Sorry EU Fans, Mara Jade Isn’t Going To Be In Star Wars: Episode IX
I feel a great disturbance in the Star Wars fandom, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were silenced. It's probably because, after a couple of months of rumors in which fans of the former Expanded Universe (now the non-canon Star Wars Legends) hoped that their favorite sexy lady Jedi Mara Jade might be making her way into Star Wars: Episode IX, it sounds as if it almost certainly isn't going to happen.

Simon Pegg Gives Us An Update On The Status Of Star Trek 4
After a wobbly couple of years, Star Trek is in rude health right now. The 'Kelvin Universe' big screen movies have, on the whole, been well-received by audiences, Star Trek: Discovery is about to launch into what looks like a dynamic second season, CBS have promised to fund multiple new Trek TV projects and Quentin Tarantino's tantalizing Star Trek project will probably kick into high gear after he's done with Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. And then there's the as yet untitled Star Trek 4, which appears to having some minor production woes.
