Nicolas Cage Says He’d Be A Great Lex Luthor In A Future Superman Movie
Nicolas Cage has said he would be a great Lex Luthor in a Superman movie and he's absolutely goddamn right. Over the course of his career Cage has demonstrated that he's got a beautiful grasp of megalomaniacal self-confidence tinged with craziness that would make him a perfect Luthor. Of course, the role is theoretically currently held by Jesse Eisenberg, but it's unlikely that he's going to reprise the role so who knows?

Obi-Wan And Boba Fett Spinoffs Reportedly Cancelled By Lucasfilm
Disney and LucasFilm's plan of releasing one Star Wars movie a year indefinitely always seemed like a bad idea. After all, a new Star Wars movies kind of feels like it should be a cinematic event and a conveyor belt of releases dilutes that quite a bit. Said plan apparently consisted of alternating a 'saga' release with standalone spinoff movies - so The Force Awakens was followed by Rogue One, and The Last Jedi was followed by Solo. Presumably, Episode IX would have been followed by either Obi-Wan or Boba Fett.

This New Poster For Neil Marshall’s Hellboy Is Seriously Incredible
Hellboy is back, and by the looks of this just-released poster, in style. I loved the Guillermo Del Toro films and was incredibly skeptical when David Harbour was cast as the titular character. After all, how could anyone do the character better than Ron Perlman? Well, the jury's still out on that one, but consider my reservations dialled back significantly after getting a good look at this excellent poster showing off their take on Big Red. Ethan Hawke Tries To Explain His Criticism Of Logan
Back in August Ethan Hawke ruffled a few feathers when he criticised James Mangold's critically lauded Logan, which he tied into a wider problem with the superhero movie genre in general. The comments came in an interview with The Film Stage during an interview that touched on Hawke's career in film. During this, Hawke explained his slight disillusionment with the "big business of film" and that the notion of a 'great movie' is being devalued. Here are his comments:

New Spider-Man: Far From Home Set Video Reveals More Of Mysterio
Mysterio got a lot less mysterious this week. Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently wrapping up its shoot in Liberec, Czechia and the roving eyes of fans eager for a scoop are all over the set. Target number one was Jake Gyllenhaal in costume as villainous special effects guru Quentin Beck / Mysterio, and boy have they delivered. Yesterday we got a decent look at Gyllenhaal in what looks like an extremely comics-accurate outfit (sadly minus the fishbowl helmet) and that's now been followed by an equally interesting video that gives us a clearer look at his costume.

Friday The 13th Producer Says They’re Exploring New Projects
The lawsuit that has tied up the Friday the 13th franchise (including bringing DLC content for the excellent online multiplayer game to an abrupt end) has come to an end. For now. The case was based on the fact that Victor Miller, who wrote the screenplay for the 1980 horror classic, believed that he was entitled to the rights to the characters and settings. His argument was that the script wasn't written as "work-made-for-hire", thus granting him intellectual property rights. Judge Stefan Underhill, sitting in the US District Court, agreed, saying:

Beast Boy Transforms In Cringeworthy New Titans Clip
Over the course of its development, Titans has gone from something fans were a bit suspicious of, to an outright laughing stock once they got a look at those hideous costumes (and that ridiculous 'Fuck Batman' trailer), to something I'm going to have to tune in to just to see how bad it is. From the promotional art to the trailers to the Twitter feed, it's all been pretty crappy looking, and that trend's now continued in earnest with this clip showing off Beast Boy's transformations.
