When it comes to how Batwoman factors into the grand scheme of "Crisis on Infinite Earths," that's something we haven't discussed as much. Then again, that's somewhat understandable, because we've all been focused on how her solo adventures will turn out. Right now, the outlook is good, especially since villains such as Hush and Magpie have been confirmed to show up.
If you're reading this, then there's a very good chance you've seen Avengers: Endgame by now. After all, Marvel Studios' latest achievement managed to dethrone Avatar by becoming the highest grossing movie of all time at the worldwide box office.
When The CW originally announced its fall schedule, I couldn't have been the only one who noticed Black Lightning's assigned return date was really bringing up the rear when it came to DC-based programming. If you're unable to recall, Monday, October 21st was set to kickoff season 3.
If you're like me, then you believe Christopher Nolan's trilogy of Batman movies remain the gold standard for what comic book films can achieve. Sure, The Dark Knight Rises may have had its glaring flaws, but it still made for one hell of a flick.
Now that the wheels are turning on The Purge 5 and we're less than one year from it storming cinemas, news pertaining to the next installment in one of Blumhouse Productions' most notorious horror franchises should gradually start pouring in. In fact, we just recently learned that Everardo Gout (Days of Grace, Luke Cage) will be directing the picture.
Following the cancellation of his eponymous series after only 13 episodes on NBC, Matt Ryan's iteration of John Constantine has amazingly thrived over at The CW. Since first being welcomed into the fold during Arrow's fourth season, the demonologist migrated over to Legends of Tomorrow, and even headlined an animated film/web series in the form of Constantine: City of Demons. It's also worth mentioning that Ryan voiced the character in Justice League Dark, though that project was unrelated to the Arrowverse.
With Arrow's eighth and final season rapidly approaching, it's safe to say we'll be reunited with a fair amount of familiar faces from the past before the show ultimately wraps. Already, we've received confirmation on Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn), Josh Segarra (Adrian Chase) and Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen) returning, though there'll obviously be a few more along the way.
By now, I'm sure that Joe and Anthony Russo are like royalty among True Believers. After all, they've directed some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's best movies and biggest hits, those being Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
For fans going into Arrow's eighth and final season, it can be quite difficult to map out the final chapter in Oliver Queen's journey. Fortunately, recent announcements coming out of the latest TCA press event have cleared up certain matters, such as revealing the premiere takes place one week after season 7's finale.
When it comes to adapting "Crisis on Infinite Earths" from comic book to small screen, I doubt any of us are expecting for the strictest of translations. After all, the Arrowverse landscape of 2019 is vastly different from how DC's books were looking in the mid-1980's - but the concept remains intact.
