So far, it looks like the producers of Arrow are doing a pretty good job of making the current season appear to be a fitting conclusion to the series as we’ve come to know it. Make no mistake, it is coming back for a sixth round, but gone will be the flashbacks to Oliver Queen’s time away from Star City, as a bold new era that has yet to be disclosed to the public will begin later in 2017.
Have you ever seen those ill-researched memes touting superhero “facts” on your Facebook news feed that often don’t account for those plot points having taken place in an alternate universe? Not surprisingly, the Merc with a Mouth has fallen victim to this himself, with something akin to “Did you know that Deadpool once killed the entire Marvel Universe?”
I guess I should get something out in the open right off the bat: While it’s well known that I’m a huge fan of DC animated films and some of the individual characters featured in this particular movie, I’m not a fan of the team, per se. Maybe it’s because I don’t relate well to younger characters. It beats me. But if you offer a story that I find intriguing enough, I just might sample your ware. Having gotten that out of the way, I’m pleased to say that Teen Titans: The Judas Contract handily won me over.
Before you know it, May 16 will be here and you'll be able to get your hands on a copy of the highly anticipated Injustice 2. Aside from a tie-in prequel comic also kicking off in the very near future, a slew of collectibles can also be expected to flood the market. Fortunately, you have a chance to walk away with what may be one of the prettier ones without having to pay a single dime.
By now, I'm sure we all have our varying opinions when it comes to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but I hope that many of us can agree in saying it was nice to finally see the Man of Tomorrow have a villain that's a great physical foil for him in the live action realm that wasn't Zod. Well, kind of. He was created from the general's corpse in this interpretation, after all.
Believe it or not, the wait for Gotham's spring premiere is nearly over, with the Batman prequel show returning from a painful three-month hiatus in exactly two weeks. With this in mind, DC All Access caught up with key members of the principal cast at WonderCon in order to provide some much needed insight into season 3B. And although there's some footage included from the recent trailer that boasted the likes of Poison Ivy and Firefly, there's actually a generous amount that's gone unseen until now.
Say what you want about Supergirl: Being Super, but it's giving the titular heroine some much needed exposure in the comic book realm outside of her in continuity title when she could certainly use it. After all, with a hit TV show airing in prime time, having more than one book for longtime and potentially new readers to take in is certainly anything but a bad idea.
Although we gave you a look inside the special zero issue not long ago, many of you probably wondered when you'd get the same treatment for Secret Empire #1. Well, that day is today, as we can now present more information pertaining to what will undoubtedly be Marvel's biggest crossover event for the year 2017.
Although the 2016 election season in the United States had friends and family duking it out on social media, one could argue that a certain topic did the same for Arrow's fan base, that being "Olicity." Sure, it could be said that romantically pairing Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak felt like a natural progression of the narrative, but the argument saying that it stole valuable screentime that could've been used for Laurel Lance's rise as the Black Canary (she had to get her Canary Cry on The Flash, believe it or not) and other major developments was totally valid.
