By now, comic book readers know that whenever a major crossover event occurs several tie-in books will be in tow. Staying true to form, the upcoming Secret Empire will have at least a few one-shots to satellite the main narrative, thereby enriching the overall reading experience.
If anything, 2017 is going to have quite the steady stream of DC animated films, with the next one up being Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. Loosely adapting the classic storyline of the same name written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Perez, it’ll see some of the most beloved young heroes in all of comics face their biggest challenges yet, namely Brother Blood and Deathstroke.
It’s without question that Deathstroke has seen his share of relaunches in recent history. In the New 52 alone, he had two distinct runs to call his own, the second of which was especially memorable because we had Tony Daniel writing and drawing the world’s greatest assassin. By now, everyone has grown accustomed to the fact that superhero movies mostly tend to pick and choose from various comic book storylines as opposed to being a straight up adaptation of one specific work. And from what we can tell, Wonder Woman looks to continue that trend.
Now that Logan is in the bag and we've all been colored impressed, it's time to sit back and come to grips with the fact that Hugh Jackman is well and truly done with the character. Suffice it to say, when anyone has played a superhero for seventeen years, at least a few moviegoers are bound to get attached to them.
Now that Fox has gone all in on Deadpool 2 by releasing the first teaser for the film in theaters, the quest has begun to round out the cast. Just this week, a huge piece of the puzzle fell into place when Zazie Beetz was confirmed to play Domino, a character whom many mutant lovers would probably agree is overdue for her big screen debut.
