Though the Resident Evil 2 remake has been on store shelves for less than one month, the modding community have already found a variety of ways to impress us. So far, we've seen Leon and Claire getting Dino Crisis-themed makeovers, perspective switched from third to first person, and even Mr. X being swapped out for Nemesis.
Given all that’s transpired over the past few days, I think it’s safe to say we can put our suspicions as to whether or not Gotham‘s series finale will feature the Joker to bed. After all, there was that grainy photo showing Cameron Monaghan sporting a purple suit and heavy makeup making its rounds, and then a couple of hi-res shots shortly thereafter.
As you may recall, Gotham's final season was originally slated to consist of ten episodes. Then, to our delight, the tally was later extended to twelve. This, of course, was to assure that the Batman prequel series ultimately ends its run at 100 episodes, therefore it be eligible for syndication.
In the United States, where I live, we rely on the ESRB when it comes to video game ratings. Like its many predecessors, the remake of Resident Evil 2 is rated "M" for "mature," specifically for "blood and gore, intense violence and strong language." For some, that's everything required for a perfect evening.
From what I've seen thus far, the remake of Resident Evil 2 has been received rather well by its target fanbase and the gaming community at large. Admittedly, I was afraid that it'd deviate too far from the original, but it luckily retained the spirit and, for the most part, told the same story. I mean, I'm still indifferent as to how "new" it is because I desired the balance achieved by 2002's RE 1 remake, though I love it nevertheless.
It didn't take long after the release of Resident Evil 2's remake for fans to demand Capcom do likewise for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. In fact, some are already looking far ahead enough to dream of a CODE: Veronica re-imagining - or even another survival horror series from the days of the original Playstation put out by the same publisher.
Though the recently released Resident Evil 2 remake has proven to be more different from the 1998 original than RE 1's remake was from its predecessor, I've immensely enjoyed it nevertheless. If anything, it's retained the spirit of the game that made me fall in love with the franchise over two decades ago, not to mention iconic elements such as Mr. X. In fact, it could be argued that the sharply dressed Tyrant is more popular these days because of social media.
It really wasn't that long ago when we were all speculating the identity of the new Emerald Archer in Star City. Fortunately, she was unmasked before Arrow took its winter hiatus. Then, when the show returned with its midseason premiere, we learned her name is, in fact, Emiko Queen.
Given all that's transpired over the past 24 hours or so, I think it's safe to say we can put our suspicions as to whether or not Gotham's series finale will feature the Joker to bed. After all, there was that grainy photo showing Cameron Monaghan sporting a purple suit and heavy makeup making its rounds just yesterday.
Due to a variety of circumstances, I'd unfortunately missed out on the past few major events to reside under the MeggaXP umbrella. In an effort to correct this, I made arrangements to check out this year's edition of Blood Bash, one of the better horror conventions one could hope to find in Michigan. Once again setting up shop at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in Jackson, it'd obviously grown since its debut in 2017.
