Gary Dauberman is maybe most well-known for penning spin-offs of horror franchises. The mind behind Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun, and Annabelle Comes Home has built his career around byproducts of the original Conjuring franchise, as well as co-writing the most recent It adaptation and its upcoming follow-up. With the latter on its way to theaters later this year, Dauberman was asked if he sees any potential for extensions of the franchise. His response was likely not what Stephen King fans were hoping to hear.
It's been a good few months to be Chris Hemsworth, as the Australian actor is in very high demand right now. Fresh off of the record-setting success of Avengers: Endgame and still in the midst of the less-than-stellar Men in Black: International run, the 35-year-old has recently been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
It's been a great year thus far for Chris Hemsworth and it looks like it's only going to get better. The Australian actor recently starred as Thor in the record-shattering blockbuster Avengers: Endgame and has just become a prominent piece of another huge franchise by appearing alongside Tessa Thompson in Men in Black: International. While the entreaty did garner over 20,000 signatures, those in charge neglected to realize that the show actually airs on Amazon Prime. The petition was quickly taken down, but the damage was already done. Both streaming services took turns poking fun at the case of mistaken identity on Twitter and now, even Nail Gaiman has shared his thoughts on the ordeal.
Amazon vowing to cancel a show that they have no say over? Stranger Things have happened. It all started when a Christian-led Return to Order campaign made headlines this week by starting a petition urging Netflix to cancel Good Omens. The miniseries is, in their opinion, “another step to make satanism appear normal, light and acceptable” and blatantly “mocks God’s wisdom." The document gained serious traction on the Internet, though surely not for the reasons they'd hoped it would.
A few days after a Batman poll stirred up nationwide controversy, another survey is out that's bound to end up being even more controversial. Over 2,201 adults have spoken their minds and declared that Halle Berry's Catwoman is somehow superior to Michelle Pfeiffer's. Read that sentence again if you have to.
