Atlus has revealed today that its upcoming dungeon-crawler Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will come with oodles of bonuses for those eager enough to drop five dollars at GameStop ahead of time. How very generous of you, Atlus! I guess the company is feeling confident that it will fall into more financially stable hands.

Prime World: Defenders Review

Prime: World Defenders is not bad in any way. Outside of the fun gameplay, however, it doesn't excel in many ways either. If fresh tower defense play mechanics are something you crave, then Defenders is sure to please, but if grinding irks you or you seek an engrossing experience through and through, you may be disappointed.

Yea, that's right. I said it. Sonic: Lost World totally looks like Super Mario Galaxy featuring cheeky blue hedgehogs. Actually, I highly doubt I'm breaking any new ground by pointing that out - more likely it's the thing everyone already knows and has stopped bothering to mention. Eh.

Divinity: Dragon Commander Review

Divinity: Dragon Commander is a game that tries to do too much, but does an impressive amount of it well. If you enjoy strategy and the slower sections based on that genre don't bother you, then you're in for an absolute treat. If you don't have time to wait around for the good stuff, though, you may be better off with regular old RPGs than with Larian's hybrid.

Clash Of The Titans: What Batman Vs. Superman Can And Should Learn From The Dark Knight Returns

When I really sit down to think about it, I have a hard time coming up with an animated film I both enjoy and respect more than part two of the recent Batman: The Dark Knight Returns comic book adaptation. For my tastes, the film handles most-everything with class and admirable attention to detail. It’s true to its source material, characters have compelling depth without being overwrought enigmas, the pacing is expert - and though the action may not reach such wild heights as certain Nolan-helmed counterparts, said sequences remain engaging while smartly matching the film’s more cool, composed, and oft downright dispiriting mood climate. In short, it is the most smartly compiled superhero film that I am aware of perhaps outside of The Incredibles, though that is a different sort of tale entirely.

Atlus Parent Company Reportedly Of Interest To Sega… *Gulp*

Oy. It seems things haven't really improved for Atlus proprietor Index Corporation - a recent report from the Japanese wing of Bloomberg is suggesting that there are as many as 20 companies now interested in or actively bidding on the outfit's remains. Of the twenty, Sega Sammy was named as a leading contender, though others were not mentioned.

Bethesda has your back, it seems, as the publisher-developer has just announced a massive anthology for its bread and butter Elder Scrolls series. Appropriately titled The Elder Scrolls Anthology, the set will run you $79.99 and include every bit of Elder Scrolls known to man, starting with Arena and moving all the way up through Morrowind and, of course, Skyrim. Pokémon X And Y Trailer Flaunts Sweet Charizard Air Battle And Aurotto

Woaaa, dude! Somehow I must have missed this until now. Flying Pokémon in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will actually battle hundreds of feet above the ground and engage in epic air matches? That's awesome! That much and more was shown in a recent Japanese trailer for the games, which have me as breathlessly eager as I can ever really imagine being for a new release. Scratch that - I did get pretty darn excited for Disney's Aladdin on the SNES. But this is a close second.

Fez II And Phil Fish Should Return To Gaming, Says Cliffy B

Cliff Blezinski and Phil Fish. Both names have a distinct ring to them in the world of videogames, and by some accounts for many of the same reasons. If you hadn't heard, Mr. Fish recently had what I wouldn't hesitate to describe as, well, a complete freakout on Twitter, which led to him brashly rage-quitting on development of the hotly anticipated and recently announced Fez II soon after. Much like Patrick Klepek over at Giant Bomb, I don't believe for a second that Fish is actually gone for good, and apparently neither does Cliffy B. In a lengthy and surprisingly compassionate and well thought out blogpost, the Cliffster did his best to pull our man Fish up by his bootstraps and get him back in some fresh water. Ha.
