Patrick Stewart And Ian McKellen Won’t Be In X-Men: Apocalypse
Last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past left the long-running franchise in a particularly exciting place; the weaker entries in the series have been eradicated entirely, and the filmmakers now have two eras to explore in future installments: the present-day storyline starring the original trilogy cast, and the prequel storyline that began with X-Men: First Class. However, despite this new setup, it looks like next year's entry, X-Men: Apocalypse, will spend most (if not all) of its running time in the past.

Scarlett Johansson Will Return For Captain America: Civil War
Things aren't looking so good for Hawkeye right about now, because at the moment he's the only core Avenger who isn't confirmed to appear in Captain America: Civil War or any future Marvel films. According to directors Anthony and Joe Russo, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow will be back for the big brawl between Cap and Iron Man, meaning she won't bite the dust when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters in May.

Matthew Vaughn Talks Fantastic Four, First Trailer Hits Next Month
Of all the upcoming blockbusters set to hit theaters this year, the most mysterious and divisive may just be Josh Trank's reboot of The Fantastic Four. Part of that has to do with the controversial slew of information that's leaked regarding possible origin story and character changes, while the rest of the blame lies squarely on 20th Century Fox's shoulders. That's because the studio has done absolutely nothing to quash our doubts about the project, and have given the highly-anticipated comic book film absolutely no marketing whatsoever despite the fact that it hits cinema screens in just seven months.

Dexter Alum Devon Graye Joins The Flash As Copycat Trickster
Last month we received the exciting news that Mark Hamill would be reprising his role as The Trickster - which he played on the original Flash TV series in the 1990s - on The Flash later this season. However, he won't be the only mischievous Rogue heading to Central City; Hamill's version of the character is currently locked away in prison, and is approached by Barry Allen for advice when a new copycat Trickster starts wreaking havoc.

Newest Arrow/Flash Spinoff Is Vixen Animated Series For CW Seed
It seems that the CW's plan to expand the Arrow universe - which began with The Flash and could lead to a solo series starring Brandon Routh as The Atom - will exceed beyond live-action superhero television. The latest Arrow spinoff will be an animated series premiering exclusively on the CW's digital network, CW Seed. Coming to us once more from producer Marc Guggenheim, it will center on DC Comics superheroine Vixen.

CW Planning An Arrow Spinoff For Brandon Routh’s The Atom
When Brandon Routh first joined Arrow as Ray Palmer - the alter ego of size-changing superhero The Atom - many wondered if the former Man of Steel could be in line to get his own spinoff series. It happened to Grant Gustin's Flash, to widespread praise and record-breaking ratings, so it made sense that if the character were successful on Arrow, he could venture off on his own small screen adventures.

The last time we heard about a possible theatrical trailer for the highly-anticipated Man of Steel sequel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was just a few months ago, when reports began coming in that stated it'd be attached to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The closing chapter of the Middle Earth saga came and went without such a look at the epic showdown between DC's flagship heroes, but we may still get the chance to see a teaser sooner rather than later.

Spartacus Star Liam McIntyre Joins The Flash As Weather Wizard
It seems that many actors who once starred on Starz' Spartacus series are destined to don a cape, cowl or supervillain moniker and head to the CW. Arrow has employed several actors from the series, including Manu Bennett as Deathstroke, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Amanda Waller, Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul and Nick Tarabay as Captain Boomerang.
