Fargo Review: “Buridan’s Ass” (Season 1, Episode 6)
Aw jeez, what an episode of Fargo. This show has only gotten better week to week, but "Buridan's Ass" is by far the strongest hour yet. The work of the Coen Brothers has often walked the line of dry, witty humor and absurdity (The Big Lebowski, Inside Llewyn Davis, Burn After Reading) and the unbelievably macabre (Blood Simple, True Grit, No Country For Old Men). What their 1996 film Fargo accomplished, more than the rest of their impressive filmography, was a brilliant balance of both; offering us a glimpse at the darkest corners of humanity and the most wonderfully bright spots of the human spirit. The show has managed to accomplish much of the same thing, though its multi-episode structure has allowed the writers and directors to choose which side of the line they want to walk on from week to week.

The LEGO Movie Will Get A Ninjago Spinoff In 2016
It's safe to say that no one knew exactly how big of a hit The LEGO Movie would become, yet it currently stands as the second-highest grossing film of the year, after earning a comfortable $452.4 million since it hit theaters in February. News of a sequel came as no surprise, and the film is currently set for release on May 26, 2017.

Steven Soderbergh Returning For Magic Mike XXL As Cinematographer And Editor
Despite having retired from directing last year, Steven Soderbergh has been busier than ever and continues adding new projects to his resume. Shortly after announcing that Side Effects would be his last film, he made Behind the Candleabra for HBO, and has a 10-part miniseries called The Knick that arrives on Cinemax this August. He also directed a stage play, and has taken to editing in his spare time, helping out with Spike Jonze's Her, releasing new cuts of his past films like Heaven's Gate: The Butcher's Cut, and making video edits of his own, like this Alfred Hitchcock/Gus Van Sant Psychos mash-up.

Has Andrew Garfield Signed On To Play Spider-Man Through 2020?
Critics and audiences may have differing opinions about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (and, let's face it, Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man franchise in general), but most people seem to agree that Andrew Garfield is a great Peter Parker. As many problems as the rebooted franchise has, Garfield's casting isn't one of them. Sony seems to know this, and is reportedly hoping to keep him in the Spidey suit for the foreseeable future.

Caesar Prays For Peace In New Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes TV Spot
Most of the marketing material for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has employed a dark, harrowing tone, which was to be expected from a film about genetically enhanced apes waging war on a dwindling human society. However, there appears to be a great deal of heart at the core of this sequel, specifically in the relationship that forms between Caesar and Malcolm (Jordan Clarke).

New Star Wars Rumor Points To A Potential X-Wing Squadron Spin-Off
I'll be honest here, I haven't been at all excited by the prospect of the upcoming Star Wars spin-offs that will arrive in between the official "Episodes" in the saga. It's not because I don't love Star Wars, or think that spin-offs are a bad idea; I'm just not interested in solo films featuring a young Yoda or Han Solo, and would much rather explore new territory in the ever-expansive Star Wars universe.

In anticipation of tomorrow's new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, Marvel has released yet another short teaser packed with a bunch of new footage. While some fans have understandably grown tired of these short, superfluous trailer teasers, it's hard not to get swept into the buzz and excitement surrounding this film, and any new footage is always much appreciated.

Rocket Raccoon Speaks In New Guardians Of The Galaxy Teaser
Oh, yeah! The second full-length trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy lands on Monday morning, but it looks like Disney and Marvel will be releasing little bits and pieces of it over the weekend. A 25-second teaser hit the web yesterday, and this afternoon we were treated to 17 more seconds. While there's not a ton of new content to dissect, there are a few cool new shots showing Drax in action, as well as our first glimpse of what Bradley Cooper sounds like as Rocket Raccoon.
