The sheer number of projects that producer Jerry Bruckheimer has at any given time is baffling, and frankly, it's surprising that the man gets anything done. He oversees several long-running film franchises and TV shows, most of which have sequels in the works. Last week, he offered updates on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Beverly Hills Cop 4, and now we have news about two more: Bad Boys 3 and National Treasure 3.

Danny Boyle May Direct Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs Biopic, Leonardo DiCaprio Could Star
Sony is moving quickly to get the ball rolling on their Aaron Sorkin-penned Steve Jobs biopic, now that David Fincher has dropped out due to the studio refusing to give him enough money or creative control. Fincher would have been the perfect choice for a film like this, and it would have been great to see him re-team with Sorkin. Thankfully though, Sony has set their sights on a suitable replacement: Academy Award winning director Danny Boyle.

Fox Has “No Plans” For An X-Men And Fantastic Four Crossover Film
The two big words hovering over the superhero genre at the moment are "Cinematic Universe," as each studio is finding ways to make their comic book properties exist within the same continuity. Marvel Studios famously started the trend with Iron Man back in 2008, that has since culminated in an expansive shared universe that just keeps getting bigger; and has sent the other studios scrambling to compete. Sony is hard at work on building a Spider-Man universe, with several already-announced sequels and villain spin-offs; Warner Bros. is currently starting production on Batman Vs. Superman; and 20th Century Fox is gearing up to make a Fantastic Four reboot that exists within the same "universe" as the X-Men franchise.
