Looks as if Sucker Punch is getting ready to top LittleBigPlanet with an even more ambitious crack at user-created content delivery. The developer is readying a full-fledged, "built-in mission creator" for inFamous 2, as reported by MTV Multiplayer (via Destructoid). Revealed Wednesday at the 2011 Game Developers Confrence in San Francisco, Calif., the mission creator will allow players the opportunity "to reproduce mission types based on what's available in the main story, but they won't be constrained by the boundaries of escort tasks, fetch the item quests and the like."
Prepare yourself for some heavy nanosuit-powered action: Crytech and Electronic Arts have released a new trailer for Crysis 2 this evening.
Entitled Prophet's Journey, the action-loaded video takes you "into the shadowy world of Jacob Hargreave -- a man whose harboured an obsession with the Nanosuit for most of a century," as described by the Crysis 2 team.
Rockstar Games has just released the official box art for the Xbox 360 version of their highly anticipated detective thriller L.A. Noire. The "pack shot" image shows off lead protagonist Cole Phelps with his gun drawn, as if to anticipate heavy dealings with the criminal underworld of late 1940's Los Angeles.
In less than 17 hours (the current remaining time is available should you wish to check) Bethesda will be releasing an in-game preview trailer thereof. Concurrently, there's also some downloadable wallpaper for your computer desktop, which is available exactly where the remaining time before release is presented.
It's here! Sony has released the official launch trailer for Killzone 3. Expect a load of heart-pounding and nerve-shaking action within, as there's a load of flamethrowers, rifles and plenty of additional stuff to expect thereof.
Like I said: Hail to the king, baby! Gearbox and 2K Games have revealed quite the special edition package for the long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever. And why not? After more than twelve ****ing years, it should be. (Okay, so I had to say it...)
If the downfall of music games is indeed coming, then some rather unfortunate news may be adding credence to the ethos thereof.
Activision Blizzard has announced that Guitar Hero -- as a series, not individual games themselves -- is coming to an end as part of development cuts. At the same time, DJ Hero developer Freestyle Games is set to be hit with layoffs as well. The announcements include revelations of True Crime: Hong Kong and Tony Hawk games having been dropped as well, and follows upon the earlier news of Rock Band publisher MTV Games' shutdown.
