Mike Judge has been more successful on the small screen than on the big one. Compare the huge success of Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill to the cult status of Office Space and outright obscurity of Idiocracy and Extract and you’ll see what I mean. Sure, he flopped on TV with his last show The Goode Family, but in light of how enjoyable the first episode of Silicon Valley is, that misstep can be forgotten.

Jerry Bruckheimer Drops Some Top Gun 2 Plot Details

Maverick. Iceman. Goose. Kenny Loggins. These all became household names in the 1980s thanks to a little movie called Top Gun. Produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, Top Gun grossed an obscene amount of money by making the Navy look both totally cool and vaguely homoerotic. But decades later, when ace fighter pilots have been replaced by decidedly less cool unmanned drone aircraft, is the highway to the danger zone closed for good? Bruckheimer doesn't think so. In fact, he's got the pedal to the floor and he's speeding down the commuter lane with Top Gun 2 in his passenger seat.

What do you get when you combine sharks and a tornado, and then remove the sharks? You get Into the Storm, an upcoming disaster movie that is curiously free of man-eating fish, fish-eating octopi, octopi-eating megalodons, or any recognizable actors. The result is a pretty generic-looking movie that seems aimed primarily at the kind of people who watch The Weather Channel hoping to see someone swept out to sea.

Robots are creepy. Not only are they emotionless machines whose actions are determined by cold, hard logic instead of characteristics such as empathy and compassion, but they also don't age. At least, not in the way we humans do. While their metal frames may rust and their firmware may become outdated, their jowls don't sag and their skin doesn't wrinkle. That is, until now. In a bold new take on the Terminator franchise, Terminator: Genesis will introduce an older Terminator, played by a decidedly older Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Girls To Continue Through Season Six, If All Goes According To Plan

Girls is a hot show for HBO, maybe sometimes a little too hot. In a recent chat with students at Loyola Marymount University, series producer (and occasional writer) Judd Apatow talked about some of the show's planned sex-scenes getting axed by HBO for being a bit too graphic. That's a real shame, because who knows what amazing levels of depravity the show could have reached if not for the concerns of its parent network. There is good news, too, though: we may very well get another three seasons of Girls after the current one.

With every new trailer that comes out for Godzilla, it just looks more and more badass. The new international trailer for the film is no exception, as it shows off a level of destruction that had previously only been hinted at. Buildings destroyed? Yeah, it's got that. A city in ruins? Of all the hilarious things that have come from Funny or Die, Drunk History ranks among the top. Starting as a short on the website and then expanding into a series on Comedy Central, the show has featured some very talented actors and comedians reenacting history in a way that seems like it might eventually get someone hurt. Now the series will be returning for a second season, and there's still a very good chance it will result in a case of severe alcohol poisoning.

New Captain America: The Winter Soldier Featurette Focuses On Black Widow, Who Still Might Get A Solo Movie

It probably wouldn't be too controversial to say that the stand-out star of the Marvel cinematic universe so far has been Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow. She first appeared in Iron Man 2, followed by The Avengers and now Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Despite being a more minor character in the comic books, she has pretty much stolen every scene in which she has appeared in the movies. She hasn't yet had a movie of her own, but with as popular as her character is, perhaps that will change.

Game Of Thrones To End After Three Or Four More Seasons

Every game must come to an end, and for the Game of Thrones it looks like that end will come in about three or four more years. That is, according to series showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who said in an interview with Vanity Fair that the show will be wrapping up after season seven or eight.
