Is The CryEngine 3 A Disappointment ?
Crytek have been notoriously boastful about how powerful the game engine running their upcoming title Crysis 2 is, for many months now. The executives have made bold statements like “the CryEngine 3 could run any game” and putting emphasis on the ‘superior’ aesthetic quality of Crysis 2. Expectation as a consequence was very high, with critics and fans eager to see this new standard of graphical eye candy.

Motorstorm Apocalypse Delayed Due To Japan Earthquake
Motorstorm Apocalypse has been delayed. It isn’t hard to see why either. Especially with the ongoing horrors in Japan being embarrassingly similar to the disaster-racing-playground-theme in the new Motorstorm game. Evolution Studios and Sony have tastefully made a decision to postpone the release of the eagerly anticipated PS3 title until a less sensitive and inappropriate time window emerges.

Batman: Arkham City First Official Gameplay Video
Yay! Warner and Rocksteady have finally put out some golden footage from Batman: Arkham City, and as expected it's rather impressive. Mainly thanks to lots of punching, blocking, dodging, jumping, and the whole atmosphere of shadows, corruption, and tight leather. Hmm.

Kinect Outselling Move By 5:1
The battlefield was new to both companies, the tools and the rules were still being examined, and both Microsoft and Sony thought their submission to the motion gaming cake of courage was going to come out on top. Apparently Microsoft was right and Sony...not so much. From the very beginning of this little war everyone noted how conceptually similar the Move was to the Wii, and then showed open interest in the tech that Kinect was offering.

Dragon Age 2 Tops UK All Platform Charts
BioWare and EA are sitting in the sweet spot this week as their brand new outing in the RPG world of awesome adventure, Dragon Age 2 was released into the wilderness to fend for itself – much in the same way you are in the game, how poetic.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Has 3D Support
It’s all rather exciting...for those of you who are rich and irritating enough to already own a futuristic 3D television. Unfortunately despite Sony’s admirable efforts, most gamers don’t and won’t have the kit that will enable them to enjoy all those three dimensional sensations for quite a while yet. Considering the state of the whole ‘money’ thing at the moment, understandably people aren’t going to fork out over a grand just so they can watch Helghast bullets whizz past their ears, or stare at James Cameron’s Avatar in muted wonder.

How To Be Kings Of Anarchy In Bulletstorm
Bulletstorm’s online co-op is the FPS answer to the over-rich military genre in the same way Burnout is the rebel’s hero to the simulators of GT5. The multiplayer mode is called anarchy and if you haven’t played it you’re missing out.

Resistance 3: Starring You?
Here we go again, calm down. So the deal is this, Insomniac is looking to give one overly obsessed fan *clears throat awkwardly* a chance to have their face featured in the finished game. The winner will be get an all expense paid trip to the studio (with a friend I should add) where they will have their face scanned into Resistance 3. The slightly comical and understandable twist is that the winner will be playing one of the badly chewed up survivors, so don’t expect to look like a badass.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Receives A Release Date
We’ve finally got word (thanks to GAME) of the release date for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Square Enix are going to be letting the game out into the wild on August the 26th. Last year the publisher announced that the game will be delayed to the next fiscal year (starting around April I believe) due to an over rich release calendar – basically saying they were afraid that Killzone 3, Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, or Homefront would harm their sales and rightly so.

Crysis 2 Multiplayer Trailer
They had me from the announcement to be honest. Crytek and EA have been playing suckers like me for what feels like an eternity, teasing and taunting us with their pretty game Crysis 2, and its pretty guns - without trying to sound like some sort of caveman applauding candle light. The latest trailer which ‘explains’ how the multiplayer progression will work online aka another chance to provoke my appetite for wow-ness – has been released by EA for our drooling to continue
