When the James Bond franchise was rebooted with Casino Royale, one of the best new additions was Jeffrey Wright's version of Felix Leiter. He later returned in Quantum of Solace but unfortunately, was absent from both Skyfall and Spectre and as a result, the character's future has remained unknown ever since.
Since its stellar second season, Arrow has struggled to top Manu Bennett's Slade Wilson/Deathstroke when it comes to its season-long big bads. Neither Ra's al Ghul nor Damien Darhk managed to be more compelling than the villain, and while Prometheus has been excellent so far, it's fair to say that Deathstroke still remains the benchmark for the series.
Over the weekend, a pretty big DC Extended Universe leak surfaced on Reddit, which told us a lot about Warner Bros.' upcoming slate of films. From changes to Deathstroke's arc in The Batman to ambitious release plans, it was one intriguing report after another, and that doesn't change today. Yet another new leak has now popped up and this one tells us a bit about what to expect from Man of Steel 2.
It's been an exciting week for fans of the DC Extended Universe, as some interesting new information has leaked out on Reddit that's given us a bit of an idea as to how Warner Bros. is planning to proceed with a number of the upcoming efforts in their cinematic universe. Of course, nothing has been confirmed by the studio just yet, but a lot of what we're hearing does make sense, and that's certainly the case with this latest tidbit.
Given that Furious 7 has been the best entry in Universal's juggernaut franchise to date, The Fate of the Furious was always going to have a rough road ahead of it. Living up to James Wan's film is no easy feat, and it seems that director F. Gary Gray hasn't managed to reach quite the same heights as his predecessor did. We know this because the movie premiered last night in New York City and now, the first batch of reviews have raced online.
Is 2019 about to be the best year ever for Batman fans? It certainly looks that way. We already know that Warner Bros. is going all in on the iconic hero - and why wouldn't they? - with plans to make The Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing and Gotham City Sirens. But now, a new report suggests that those four films may all be releasing in the same year.
Suicide Squad was a divisive film, to be sure, but most people can agree that it did show signs of promise. The villain may have been underdeveloped, along with a lot of Task Force X, and the script could have definitely used some more work, but it wasn't a total failure. That, and the fact that it's the DCEU's most profitable movie to date makes it pretty easy to see why Warner Bros. is eager to put out a Suicide Squad 2 and as we already know, the project is currently in development.
Now that Marvel's debuted solo series on Netflix for each of their street-level heroes - that's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist - all eyes have turned towards the upcoming miniseries, The Defenders. However, there's another Marvel show set to hit the streaming service soon and it's arguably just as exciting. Of course, we're referring to The Punisher, which will star Jon Bernthal in the titular role after he first showed up in season 2 of Daredevil.
2017 seems to be vanishing before our very eyes, and that's something which this new TV spot for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 makes clear, as it celebrates the fact that the highly anticipated sequel is now just one month away from being released. Hard to believe, eh?
After what's felt like years of being left out in the cold, the House of Ideas is finally putting the X-Men back at the forefront of the Marvel Universe. Getting there hasn't been that easy, but with a new line of titles being launched this month, fans of the mutants have plenty to get excited about.
