For those of you familiar with the Civil War comic book, you'll know that it ends with Captain America surrendering himself to the authorities and later being assassinated by Crossbones (and Sharon Carter, but that's where things get complicated, as everything from mind control to time travel are involved). Before Steve Rogers inevitably returned, Bucky took over the mantle, and fans are now anxious to know whether the same will apply in the MCU.
A number of years ago, Warner Bros. had a Batman Beyond movie in development. However, like early ideas for Batman/Superman and Batman: Year One, it never escaped development hell, and Batman Begins soon led to the studio moving away from the idea.
Captain America: Civil War is one of the most highly anticipated superhero movies of 2016, though there are a lot of unanswered questions about what we should expect from Marvel Studios' adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's beloved event series. During an appearance at the Salt Lake Comic Con this weekend, Chris Evans shed some light on that, explaining why Captain America and Iron Man come to blows in the movie.
Earlier this year, Kingsman: The Secret Service ended up being a bigger hit than anyone ever expected, grossing an impressive $410 million at the worldwide box office. With just six months to go now until Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres, you'd think that we'd be seeing a lot more in the way of trailers and other promo material from the film. While the summer gave us quite a bit, the marketing machine has gone dark in recent months. Thankfully, it looks like it's about to kick into gear again though, as two new trailers are expected to arrive next month.
Like pretty much all of the new and returning characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux is a mystery. We know he's a high ranking bad guy in The First Order, but that's pretty much it, and the actor was understandably reluctant to give too much away in a recent interview. He did however mention that J.J. Abrams has described the villain as "merciless."
Before production began, Star Trek Beyond went through a little bit of behind the scenes chaos with Simon Pegg having to step in to take over writing duties when Roberto Orci - thankfully - parted ways with the studio. Now, with Fast & Furious director Justin Lin at the helm, things are looking up for the movie, and Idris Elba's (Luther) involvement is no doubt a big part of that.
Following that new batch of images from the second episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s third season, Marvel and ABC have now released a clip from the premiere which puts the focus squarely on the Inhumans.
