It's been revealed today that DC Comics character Gypsy is coming to the third season of The Flash. That's a name which probably won't be instantly familiar to most people, despite the fact that she's actually a member of the Justice League...well, the Justice League of Detroit.
Zack Snyder has begun lining up his next project, but it surprisingly won't have any ties to the world of comic books! Rather than jumping straight on to Justice League 2 following the release of the first film next November (as was the original plan), Snyder will instead take the helm of a movie he started developing around the time 300 was released.
Welcome to the tenth episode of our new, weekly video show: Geek Out. We all know how busy the work week can be, and in the increasingly crowded space of comic book movies and the like, there seems to be a never ending stream of news flowing out on a day to day basis. Casting this, trailer that, rumor here, speculation there - it really does never end and can get very tiresome trying to keep up with it all.
NBC did not do a good job with Constantine. With pretty much no promotion and an awful timeslot, the series was destined to fail, and now fans are hoping they handle Powerless a little better. Set in the DC Universe (which one isn't clear, but it's probably neither the Arrowverse nor the DC Extended Universe), it's a workplace sitcom in the same vein as The Office.
Earlier today, a select handful of journalists were treated to the first 40 minutes of Logan. The reactions from that event have been overwhelmingly positive, and those lucky enough to be in attendance were given a book full of some incredible black and white images from the movie. Among them was a brand new shot of Wolverine looking ready for a fight!
The Transformers movies have always been massively successful (whether you like them or not), and Michael Bay deserves a lot of credit for that. However, given the sporadic release of the four instalments he's so far helmed for Paramount Pictures, you can understand why the studio wants to expand this universe after Transformers: The Last Knight.
Despite the astounding success of Deadpool, it hasn't exactly been smooth sailing so far for the upcoming sequel, Deadpool 2. After losing director Tim Miller, followed by composer Junkie XL, it looked as if the film was in a spot of trouble. Thankfully, it's now recovered as John Wick co-director David Leitch has been roped in to helm the highly anticipated flick, with plans to start shooting in early 2017.
It was back in 2000 that The Rock first hosted Saturday Night Live, and while Dwayne Johnson has returned to the show on a number of occasions since, it's now John Cena's turn. One of the most iconic WWE Superstars of all-time, Cena has been doing a lot more in Hollywood lately, something which has been helped by successful cameos in the likes of Trainwreck and Daddy's Home.
Rosario Dawson has made her presence felt as Claire Temple in all of Marvel's Netflix shows (starting with Daredevil back in 2015, she'll appear in both Iron Fist and The Defenders next year), and the actress has become a pivotal part of that world as a result.
