In The Infinity Gauntlet comic book which has inspired Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos wipes out half the universe with the Infinity Stones in order to impress Death. Desperate to win her love, the Mad Titan tries again and again to woo her with his mastery over the powerful weapon before he's ultimately taken down by The Avengers and Adam Warlock.
The size of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be constantly expanding (this weekend, Doctor Strange and the concept of magic will be added to it), and while everyone will be coming together for Avengers: Infinity War, how do you possibly top that? We know a fourth Avengers movie is on the way, which will likely follow on from that, but what is Phase 4 going to look like?
The CW has released the first promo for next week's episode of Arrow, and in it, we get a much better idea of what the villainous Prometheus is up to. However, despite sharing a name with a Justice League villain, this version of the character is something new, so we still don't know who he is or what his end goal is beyond destroying the Green Arrow.
The CW has released the first batch of images from next week's episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and in them we get a look at the team as they set off for an adventure in Ronald Reagan era America. While there, Damien Darhk has somehow become an adviser to the President, and chances are that's down to the Reverse-Flash.
Supergirl's move from CBS to The CW has gone much better than many expected, and after record breaking ratings for the premiere, the series has continued to perform well at its new home.
In the Flashpoint timeline, Wally West was Kid-Flash. However, ever since Barry Allen set things right, he's gone back to simply wishing he has superpowers. Well, in next week's episode of The Flash, the youngster may be about to get his wish, but it looks like it will be thanks to the villainous Dr. Alchemy based on the images above.
Deadline is reporting tonight that Johnny Depp has booked a co-starring role in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2. Yes, you read that right. We're referring to the sequel. The first film may not even be in theatres yet, but Warner Bros. is already looking ahead to the next instalment and have seemingly begun to cast it.
As much as fans want it to happen, it really doesn't seem like we're ever going to see The Defenders standing alongside The Avengers on the big screen. That's been blamed on scheduling issues, but with rumours about some sort of divide between the film and television divisions of Marvel, chances are a crossover simply isn't on the cards for the foreseeable future.
So far, we've spent time with Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage on Netflix, while Iron Fist will join their ranks next year. Once that show's released, they'll all assemble to form The Defenders, but based on how different these vigilantes are, chances are they'll come to blows at some point before ultimately putting their differences aside.
The CW has released the first official images from this Wednesday's episode of Arrow, and based on what we see here, this is clearly going to be a pretty huge instalment. The main reason for that is of course the fact that the Human Target (another old friend of Oliver Queen's) is coming to Star City to help the vigilante/mayor out of another sticky situation.
