Following tonight's episode of Legends of Tomorrow, The CW has released the first promo for next week's instalment of the DC Comics series. Much of it is devoted to the team's visit to Feudal Japan, where Ray Palmer's Atom costume ends up being stolen, but the biggest reveal here is the small screen debut of Citizen Steel.
Earlier today, 20th Century Fox finally lifted the lid on the very first trailer for James Mangold's Logan and the internet went wild. Understandably so, as it was a well-executed tease for the upcoming flick, with the red band version promising that the film has put its R-rating to good use. Now, we have yet another version of the preview to feast our eyes on, this time in black and white.
Despite returning to the public spotlight in a big way when he reprised the role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mark Hamill didn't hesitate to return to The Flash as The Trickster (a character he first played in the short-lived 1990s TV series starring the Scarlet Speedster).
The CW has released the first promo for next week's episode of Arrow, and in it we get a first look at what's to come when Oliver Queen decides to try and break Diggle out of a military prison. As we saw in tonight's instalment, the hero has been wrongly placed behind bars after being set up for an illegal arms deal orchestrated by his superiors, and the net is now closing in.
The CW has released a gallery of images from next week's episode of The Flash, and in them we get to see a lot of very interesting reveals. The most significant has to be our first look at Jesse Wells suited up as Jesse Quick, a speedster from the comic books who, in the TV show, hails from Earth-2 and is the daughter of Harrison Wells.
Director James Mangold has Tweeted out our very first look at Hugh Jackman in upcoming Wolverine threequel, Logan. Though it doesn't reveal a whole lot, it's a striking shot that shows us just how old the titular character is getting. He's certainly seen better days, and the scars on his face indicate that he may not be healing as well as he used to.
We've known for a while now that Legion would premiere on FX in early 2017, but the promo above reveals that we can expect the Marvel series to hit the channel in February. There's lots of new footage from the show in the video as well, and it's clear that this is probably going to be unlike any other Marvel Comics drama currently available on TV or online streaming services.
Last night's episode of Supergirl featured the departures of both Superman and Cat Grant. While the latter will return sporadically throughout the show's second season, the Man of Steel's future on The CW is unknown. Regardless, this trailer for next week's instalment makes it clear that Kara Danvers is going to have plenty to keep her busy.
You only need to take a quick peek at the trailers for Doctor Strange for proof that it's probably going to be one of the most visually unique superhero movies ever released, but based on the above sampling of the film's soundtrack, it will also feature a very trippy and original score.
Adding Superman to the first two episodes of Supergirl's second season was a smart move on The CW's part, and that's become evident after the series scored some record breaking ratings there after moving from CBS. Tyler Hoechlin's stint as the Man of Steel actually ends after tonight's instalment though, and the future for his version of the iconic superhero is unclear.
