When The Flash returns this October, Barry Allen's world is going to be a lot different to the one we've grown used to over the past two years. That's because the Fastest Man Alive made the fateful decision to travel back in time and save his mother's life, something which now means that a new alternate timeline has been created.
When the The Ring first hit theatres back in 2002, it was something of a horror phenomenon. Telling the story of a mysterious video tape that killed anyone who watched it, the Naomi Watts-starring film brought in $249.3 million and spawned a rather mediocre sequel. Still, the hunger for more from the franchise never quite died down and now, Paramount is back with Rings.
When it comes to great villains, DC Comics certainly has no shortage. Throughout the years, the company has given us some of the most memorable characters to ever grace any medium, and their stable of bad guys is equally as, if not more impressive, than their chief rival, Marvel.
With filming now underway on the Queensland, Australia set of Thor: Ragnarok, set photos are starting to spill out at an alarming rate. It was only yesterday that we saw a batch that featured stars Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth along with an exciting photo which hinted at a Doctor Strange cameo. Now, the threequel is making headlines again with another group of set photos that give us our first look at Anthony Hopkins' Odin in the film.
As one of the longest-running television shows of all-time, it's actually a bit surprising that COPS, which began back in 1989, hasn't been turned into a film yet. Widely recognized around the world, and continuing to pull in strong ratings consistently, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to adapt it to the big screen, and now, that time has come.
Earlier this week, we learned that The Dark Knight Rises actress Joey King will appear in the upcoming third season of The Flash. Described as a meta-human with the ability to control metal, we don't know much about how she'll factor into the series, but her powers apparently come with a dangerous side-effect, causing her villainous alter ego known as Magenta to emerge.
The X-Men franchise will reach an end of an era next year when Hugh Jackman bids farewell to perhaps the series' most iconic character in Wolverine 3 (which is rumoured to be titled Wolverine: Weapon X). Not much is known about the movie as of right now, though Patrick Stewart has a leading role, so we know it takes place in X-Men: Days of Future Past's new timeline.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stumbled out of the gate (despite having a pilot directed by The Avengers helmer Joss Whedon), and while it's since found its footing, the show has never managed to get back to the sort of ratings it debuted with. However, with a new later timeslot this Fall, it sounds like the series could be about to undergo something of a tonal shift.
It may not have been Marvel's biggest or most popular film, but Ant-Man still made a pretty big dent at the box office for the studio and seemed to resonate fairly well with fans. As such, it's no surprise that we're getting another solo outing for the pint-sized hero, titled Ant-Man And The Wasp.
Though it hit a couple of snags along the way, HBO's upcoming remake of Westworld is now on course for an October 2nd premiere, and we couldn't be more excited for it. Set to bring Michael Crichton's sci-fi tale to a new audience, the show focuses on a western theme park where human-like androids begin to exhibit eerie artificial intelligence outside of their intended parameters.
