The past couple of seasons of Arrow have received a mixed reaction from fans, and while it's not as if the show is on the cusp of cancellation, it's become clear that it needs to step up in a big way when it returns this October before we completely give up on it. Set to have a big appearance at Comic-Con this weekend, some casting news has leaked out just hours before the show's panel takes place.
There have been rumours about Thor: Ragnarok adapting Planet Hulk for some time, and while that may ultimately boil down to little more than the Jade Giant fighting in a gladiatorial arena, we now know for sure that it's actually happening. That was confirmed when Marvel revealed the hero's armour and weapons at their booth at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Fear The Walking Dead is a very divisive series; there are those who love it and many who hate it, but the vast majority seem to agree that it simply isn't anywhere near as good as The Walking Dead. The "companion" show made some really baffling decisions in the first half of season two, but a new trailer revealed at Comic-Con today points to some big improvements.
The season one finale of Legends of Tomorrow featured a huge revelation when the existence of the Justice Society of America was confirmed in The CW's corner of the DC Multiverse. While you might think that the series will keep us waiting until revealing more about that beloved superhero team, it actually looks like it will waste no time in addressing their presence!
Revealed during the show's Comic-Con panel in San Diego today, our first look at Rick and Morty's highly anticipated third season is finally here. It's only rough footage, but it incorporates all of the show's trademark humour and violence, and the finished version looks set to go down as one of its best scenes to date.
At the end of The Flash's second season, Barry Allen decided to travel back in time to save his mother from being murdered by the Reverse-Flash. The ramifications of that decision are currently unknown, but fans know that when the Scarlet Speedster did that in the comic books, he ended up basically breaking time itself.
Back when Marvel and Netflix announced their partnership, it was mentioned that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist would ultimately come together for The Defenders after one season each. Things have changed a little since then (the success of Daredevil led to a second season a year after the first), but the plan to unite these heroes remains the same.
Marvel's Luke Cage panel at this year's Comic-Con didn't feature too many huge announcements outside of that long overdue Daredevil renewal, but they finished things in style with an amazing teaser trailer for the series. We got our first glimpse at Power Man in action in Jessica Jones, and a brief announcement video was attached to Daredevil season two, but this marks our first real look at Luke Cage, and while it favours action over new story details, that's no bad thing when the hero (played by Mike Colter) looks so awesome here.
Pretty much everyone was shocked when The Dark Tower ended up on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con issue, especially as that's a space normally reserved for a major upcoming superhero movie. However, Wonder Woman is going to take centre stage on their free Comic-Con special, though the cover unfortunately uses some familiar imagery.
No doubt one of the coolest things about the rebooted Star Trek franchise is that rather than scrapping everything that came before to start afresh, it actually takes place in an entirely new timeline. In previous instalments of the trilogy, that meant Leonard Nimoy was able to reprise his role as the original Spock in order to guide the younger versions of these classic characters, but many fans have wondered whether or not other familiar faces could follow him, including franchise mainstay William Shatner.
