David Cage Is A Liar, Willem Dafoe Co-Starring In Beyond: Two Souls
Just after E3 last year BroGamer reported that Willem Dafoe would soon be announced as a co-star in Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls. Justifiably, the rumor got us a little bit excited, because once Dafoe is involved in a project there exists the possibility of a little Boondock Saints-style Riverdancing. It didn't take long for David Cage to squash the rumor (and our dreams) at the San Diego Comic-Con when he stated that Dafoe was not in the game.

Rumor: Star Wars 1313 Development Frozen In Carbonite
When Disney announced their acquisition of LucasFilm last October, one of the first thoughts to cross the minds of gamers was "Uh, what does this mean for Star Wars 1313?". The game had not been seen or heard from since its debut at E3 2012, which in itself was not all that worrisome because newly announced IP often enters into a media black out period -- especially when it is suspected of being developed for unannounced next-gen consoles. With that said, new owners often bring about unexpected changes, so it was an entirely reasonable question to ask.

Metro: Last Light Pushed To May 2013 Release
Deep Silver announced today that they will launch the next installment of their newly acquired intellectual property, Metro: Last Light, on May 14th in North and Latin America, and on May 17th across Europe. Back when THQ was still in the business of publishing video games, the Metro 2033 sequel was originally scheduled to be released sometime this month, so today's announcement does represent a short delay for the post-apocalyptic shooter.

EA Expects PlayStation 4 And Xbox 720 Development To Increase By 5-10%
Speaking during the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference earlier this week, Blake Jorgensen (Electronic Arts' chief financial officer) revealed that the publisher is anticipating that game development costs for the PlayStation 4 and next generation Xbox (Xbox 720/Durango) will likely rise by five to ten percent over the cost to develop games for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Ouya Ships To Kickstarter Backers March 28th, Kim Swift Developing Exclusive Title
An update on the Ouya website today revealed that Kickstarter backers will have their Ouya consoles shipped out to them on March 28th. In order to meet that ship date, production on the tiny Android-powered consoles has already started. If you listen close you can almost hear the whirr of the itty-bitty wheels turning the little conveyor belt on the miniaturized assembly lines.

Double Fine Optimistic They Can Get THQ’s Costume Quest & Stacking Distribution Rights
Prior to THQ's initial bankruptcy auction last month Double Fine Productions was confirmed as one of the bidders interested in the failed publisher's assets. While never publicly stated, Double Fine's goal in the process was relatively obvious: secure all of THQ's remaining rights to the Costume Quest and Stacking intellectual properties. The studio has since acknowledged that was their intention, and has revealed that they are hopeful they can complete the process during the upcoming final auction.

Good News, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Will Have Cross-Region Play After All
Earlier this month Ryozo Tsujimoto (the producer for the Monster Hunter series) revealed that the online servers for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate would be region locked on the Wii U -- meaning players from North America would only be able to play with other people from North America, Europeans with other Europeans, and so on. Today we have received word from Capcom that this decision has been somewhat reversed, and certain international online play will be allowed.
