Lindsay Sperling has A.D.D. and her tastes reflect it. Her movie collection boasts everything from Casablanca to John Tucker Must Die to every season of Sons of Anarchy to-date. She adamantly supported a Veronica Mars Movie (yes, she did make a donation to see it happen..and also possibly for the t-shirt), hopes that the Fast & Furious franchise continues far into the future, and has read every popular YA book series turned film in recent years (except Harry Potter..). When she's not on an indie film set or educating the youth of America, she uses her time arguably productive as a freelance writer.

Beauty And The Beast Review: “Kidnapped” (Season 2, Episode 2)
As Beauty and the Beast continues to move us further into uncharted territory, the new Vincent (Jay Ryan) is taking on character traits that are more unexpected than ever. We may be forced to begrudgingly accept the fact that the Vincent we met in season 1 is not only gone, but it doesn't look like he's coming back anytime soon. Despite my reservations about the new direction of the show, I am re-invested in the star-crossed lovers story. I want to see them come out on top in the end and I am willing to watch all season long as they fight their way back to what they once had - even if Vincent can't remember any of it.

The Vampire Diaries Review: “True Lies” (Season 5, Episode 2)
It's a good thing the Originals got out of dodge at the end of last season because Silas (Paul Wesley) is shaping up to be a villain like none other on The Vampire Diaries. It's interesting how the search for the cure has turned into such a colossal mess for Elena (Nina Dobrev) and her friends. And, in an ironic plot twist, the person responsible for awakening Silas, is the one he wants the most - and the one least able to defend herself. Katherine (also Dobrev) sacrificed Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to feed Silas on the island, loosening his grip on the box containing the cure, and bringing an immortal threat to everyone's front door; all in a misguided attempt to secure leverage.

The Tomorrow People Series Premiere Review: “Pilot” (Season 1, Episode 1)
Do you remember hearing about (or watching) those after school specials that used to run on network television? The ones that would interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to teach teenagers how to address socially relevant issues? The Tomorrow People seems to be The CW's attempt to provide viewers with a similar experience, minus the in your face morality lesson.

The CW's Beauty and the Beast isn't exactly the Disney classic you grew up with (or, that I grew up with), and hopefully you're not too young to know what I'm referring to. Instead of a misunderstood bookworm, you get a brave and equally intelligent New York City detective. In the place of a cursed prince, you get a genetically altered super soldier. Where there were magically transformed household supplies for periphery characters, you get a protective partner, an overzealous sister, and a biochemistry professor for a best friend.

The Vampire Diaries Season Premiere Review: “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (Season 5, Episode 1)
The Vampire Diaries is back for season number 5 with a fresh new look, new characters, and new reasons to watch. The task of bouncing back after a mediocre senior year clearly did not fall on deaf ears. The storyline has received a much needed facelift, and the excitement we came to expect in earlier seasons is coming back into style.

The Originals Series Premiere Review: “Always and Forever” (Season 1, Episode 1)
When you tuned in tonight to the series premiere of The Originals, you may have expected a Director’s cut version of what you saw during the backdoor pilot that aired in April as part of The Vampire Diaries. What you got instead was something entirely different. The CW chose to slice up the pilot, which was originally shot mainly from Klaus’s (Joseph Morgan) perspective, and give us a well-rounded version of the premise from a different set of eyes.
