Lindsay Sperling has A.D.D. and her tastes reflect it. Her movie collection boasts everything from Casablanca to John Tucker Must Die to every season of Sons of Anarchy to-date. She adamantly supported a Veronica Mars Movie (yes, she did make a donation to see it happen..and also possibly for the t-shirt), hopes that the Fast & Furious franchise continues far into the future, and has read every popular YA book series turned film in recent years (except Harry Potter..). Teen Wolf Review: “Galvanize” (Season 3, Episode 15)
Even though time kept going in the real world, it seems to have stalled on Teen Wolf. Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pack are just now gearing up for some pre-Halloween mischief while the rest of us (at least in my area of the country) are bracing ourselves for another night of excessive snow fall. Luckily for us, Teen Wolf kept the temperature on high on tonight's episode as they attempted to Galvanize the nonbelievers.

The Following Season Premiere Review: “Resurrection” (Season 2, Episode 1)
Fox's The following was one of 2013's biggest television surprises. After 14 narrative-heavy episodes, the season finale left us with our jaws on the floor. Just when viewers thought that Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and Claire (Natalie Zea) had survived the Joe Carroll (Jame Purefoy) ordeal and were heading swiftly toward happily ever after, the compelling freshman season ended with a shocker that put an abrupt halt to that thought process, and left a lot of loose ends in its stead.

Justified Review: “The Kids Aren’t All Right” (Season 5, Episode 2)
In The Kids Aren’t All Right we see a lot more of what we’ve come to expect from Justified over the years. Raylan is back with his witty repertoire, wheeling and dealing, and saving teenagers from their worst enemies - which in this case is both themselves and the big bad wolf from Memphis. The spark in his eye has nearly returned as he puts himself in the line of danger, and all is right with this fictitious world.

Teen Wolf Review: “More Bad Than Good” (Season 3, Episode 14)
I think it's safe to say that for the foreseeable future, Teen Wolf is going to be running two parallel narratives. One of which will revolve around Scott (Tyler Posey) and the supernatural mess back in Beacon Hills, and the other one will keep following Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and his escapades on the road (err, wherever he currently is). This will simultaneously give fans what they want and leave them metaphorically holding their breath until these stories once again intersect somewhere down the line in a very contrived, yet satisfying reunion episode.

Beauty And The Beast Review: “Don’t Die On Me” (Season 2, Episode 9)
It’s a bittersweet return for our favorite star-crossed lovers as Beauty and the Beast once again pumps the brakes on their epic romance. Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine (Kristen Kreuk) have called it quits after the beast came out to play on the mid-season finale, choosing his revenge on Cat's father over his own humanity. Naturally, I can see why that would be a relationship killer, even under the best of circumstances.

Justified Season Premiere Review: “A Murder Of Crowes” (Season 5, Episode 1)
In the season 5 opener of Justified, things are surprisingly calm in Lexington. This episode instead takes a step back from the organized chaos that more often than not occupies the main stage of this FX drama, and focused mostly on introducing fans to new characters (which it looks like there are plenty of) and setting the tone for the rest of the season. It practically whispers to viewers: “come in, take a seat, and let us reintroduce ourselves.”

Pretty Little Liars Review: “Who’s In The Box?” (Season 4, Episode 14)
Fans of Pretty Little Liars have been waiting impatiently for the return of PLL since the big Halloween episode tease when the Liars discovered once and for all that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) was still alive - sans any real explanation of how that's even possible. It's a good thing there's still half of season four left for the writers to try to explain this one to us, and considering how long it took us to get to this point, even that might not be enough time.

Teen Wolf Review: “Anchors” (Season 3, Episode 13)
Teen Wolf is officially back for the second half of season three, and fans can expect a slightly different pace going into it. The focus hasn't entirely veered away from Miss Blake (Haley Webb) and her super psycho revenge plot against the Alpha pack, but I think we can safely assume that things have come to an end for her character. Kali (Felisha Terrell) may not have finished her off the first time around, but Peter (Ian Bohen) certainly doesn't believe in leaving any loose ends.

Lindsay Sperling’s Top 10 TV Shows Of 2013
Television isn't made by any one person, and it certainly isn't made for any one specific demographic, which can sometimes blur the line between what is considered "good" TV and what isn't. In contrast to "popular opinion," I admittedly prefer some television series that are heavier on the fluff factor (I offer most of the shows I regularly review as examples) rather than what can be considered as compelling examples of TV narrative at its' finest. But, that's what I love about the medium. Good television is not exclusive to one genre or network. You can find series that fit all of your viewing desires without sacrificing personal taste; the part of me that loves to see comic book characters come to life on film can enjoy CW's Arrow while the history buff part of me craved Showtime's mini-series The White Queen.
