Though nobody is in costume just yet, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn has posted a couple of behind-the-scenes snaps from the Marvel sequel's rehearsal room.
ABC has released the synopsis for the sixth episode of Agent Carter season 2, and it suggests we'll be seeing Peggy (Hayley Atwell) turn to none other that cold-blooded assassin Dorothy "Dottie" Underwood (Bridget Regan) for help. Though this character isn't mentioned by name, Atwell has previously hinted that Peggy is going to "need her" at some point during the season, and since Regan is listed as a guest star it isn't too much of a leap.
If that headline seems familiar, it's because you've probably read it before... on several different occasions. Ever since it was announced that Scoot McNairy (Argo, Monsters, Killing Them Softly) would be joining the cast of Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, fans have been trying to figure out who he might be playing, and various sites have claimed to know for certain.
If there's one filmmaker you should be following on Twitter, it's James Gunn. With the director hard at work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he's been using social media to reveal quite a bit of information. Though it doesn't hit theatres until May, Captain America: Civil War has begun test screenings and according to Devin over at Birth.Movies.Death, the reactions are incredibly positive. Five sources have reported that the movie is testing through the roof and "the only thing they disagree on is whether the movie tested as well as or better than Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which had previously been the best-testing Marvel movie.”
What We Do In The Shadows director Taika Waititi wouldn't seem like a natural fit to helm a big Marvel blockbuster like Thor: Ragnarok, but then you might have said the same about the Russo Brothers when they were hired to direct Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and they went on to give us arguably the best Marvel flick to date.
Thanks to that first awesome image of our Rebel heroes assembled, we know what several of the main characters from Godzilla director Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will look like in the movie, but we still don't know a single thing about any of them. Of course, we know even less about the characters that weren't pictured, and right at the top of that list is whoever Forest Whitaker is playing.
You'd be forgiven for totally forgetting, but a sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey is still in development. Coming to us in the form of Fifty Shades Darker, the film has been flying pretty low under the radar so far, perhaps due to the on-set drama that went down on the first outing. Whatever the case may be, Universal is still pushing ahead with a follow-up, despite the fact that no one really seems to care for it, and today, we have some casting news to report.
After thrilling audiences as kick-ass secret agent Isla Faust alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, we all wondered if Rebecca Ferguson would wind up - as so many young in-demand stars do - in a big comic book blockbuster. Many fans wanted to see her take to the stars as Captain Marvel, but it seems we might have to settle for her getting there with the aid of a rocket, as the Swedish actress has joined the cast of Skydance's new space-set adventure, Life.
It's difficult to imagine another actor playing Captain America in the MCU now that we've seen Chris Evans own the role on so many occasions over the years, but back before the Snowpiercer star signed on to play the Sentinel of Liberty, there were several other contenders for the part in Captain America: The First Avenger - and a select few even got to the trying-on-of-the-costume stage of negotiations.
