Last week, Ryan Reynolds Deadpool released a new promo vid in which he made a few gags about his oft-derided scenes as Wade Wilson alongside Hugh Jackman in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and while promoting his new movie Eddie The Eagle at Sundance, Yahoo! asked Jackman if he had a response.
By far the most interesting and exciting new addition to the third season of Showtime's brilliantly bonkers horror drama series, Penny Dreadful, is Shazad Latif (Spooks, Black Mirror) as yet another classic literary figure, Dr. Henry Jekyll - also known as the human alter ego of the monstrous Mr. Hyde. These new promos ("Touched by Satan" and "Frightened") give us out first glimpse of the character, and reveal that he'll be associated with Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) in some way.
A couple of weeks back, ABC confirmed that they were indeed moving forward with their Mockingbird/Hunter-led Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series, which is tentatively titled Marvel's Most Wanted. The show will obviously feature Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as they reprise their S.H.I.E.L.D. roles of Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter, respectively, but we now have our first new bit of casting information.
We recently heard that Disney, Lucasfilm and directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller had apparently narrowed their search for an actor to step into the shoes of the younger version of Han Solo for their Star Wars spin-off down to a shortlist of 12. Among some of the more recognizable names on the list (which also includes the likes of Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, and Scott Eastwood) were Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) and Logan Lerman (Fury, The Perks of Being A Wallflower); and MTV caught up with the pair at the Sundance Film festival over the weekend to ask them all about it.
Empire Magazine has put out a batch of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice stills from their upcoming March issue, but only 3 (the intriguing "Omega Symbol" Darkseid tease, Supe's heat vision blast, and Batman in his battle-armor) are actually officially released versions of these scans, while the other 2 seem to be hi-res screenshots from earlier trailers.
Fox has released a new banner and poster for the February return of their Batman prequel series, Gotham. By the end of the Fall finale quite a lot had gone down, and we'll no doubt see some of the fallout of the various characters' actions - most specifically Jim Gordon's straight-up execution of Theo Galavan - when the show returns next month.
Following Empire's awesome Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Jim Lee sketch cover, and an intriguing Apokoliptic villain tease, we have the rest of the brand new batch of scans from the upcoming March issue of the magazine. Included are several, cool new pics of the titular heroes, as well as shots of Lois Lane, Lex Luthor and Alfred.
Though it failed to earn him an Oscar nom as many predicted it would, Black Mass still marks an impressive return to form for Johnny Depp. Based on the non-fiction novel of the same name, the film revolves around crime boss Whitey Bulger, "the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf."
Following the final poster that was released earlier today, the official Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Twitter account has unveiled a brand new TV spot for the Zack Snyder-directed movie, which features almost entirely all new footage, and actually plays out more like a clip.
Earlier tonight, director Zack Snyder Tweeted out a video kicking off the #WhoWillWin viral campaign. He asked fans to "choose a side" and use the hashtags #Batman or #Superman to show their loyalty to whichever DC Comics icon they think will ultimately come out on top when they face-off in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice this March.
