It's a bit of a mystery (pun intended) as to why we haven't seen Austin Powers 4 yet. Admittedly, Mike Myers is far from the bona fide box office star he was back in the late 80s and into the 90s, but all three films in the series did quite well upon release, pleasing audiences and turning a pretty decent profit for the studio. Still, a fourth instalment has never come to fruition and though it is getting to be a bit too late for it to happen now, Myers is still interested.
The Boondock Saints may not be the most instantly recognizable film out there, but it's got a very loyal following and for good reason. Fans will know full well just what an enjoyable, wild, Tarantino-esque, action romp it is, but unfortunately, critics didn't quite see things the same way, as they panned it upon release. In the years since, though, it's gone on to become a firm cult classic and even spawned a sequel in 2009. Admittedly, the second outing was a far cry from the first, but it had its moments and ever since, people have been crying out for another tale featuring vigilante twin brothers Connor (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus).
AMC's The Walking Dead has already built up an impressive roster of potential walker-fodder, and this past season, the mega popular zombie survival drama actually introduced four new communities in the Saviors, the Kingdom, Oceanside and the Junkyard folk. However, the nihilistic nature of the show means there's always going to be new spots available, and it looks like a couple of main character positions are going to be filled for this upcoming eighth season.
After appearing in the 1987 original, Shane Black is getting involved with the Predator franchise once again, though this time, it's in a very different capacity. For the upcoming reboot, he'll be sitting behind the camera and has assembled one hell of a cast to help him resurrect the property. Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Oliva Munn, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown, Thomas Jane and more will band together to try and take down the titular monster, and in today's batch of set photos, we see a few of the leads in action.
If The Chronicles of Narnia doesn't exactly ring a bell, we don't blame you. Though C.S. Lewis' novels were hugely popular back when they were published - which was in the 1950s - the feature film adaptations haven't exactly had the same luck. The mid-2000s saw three movies based on the fantasy world hit theatres in the form of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. While none of them were particularly bad, the quality, and box office returns, certainly dipped as the franchise went on and the plug was eventually pulled after the third outing.
Though World War Z went through its fair share of production troubles, the end product really wasn't all that bad. It had its problems, to be sure, but it was a mostly enjoyable zombie romp with a few truly chilling moments and enough potential that a sequel was always going to be on the cards.
Though Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist wasn't exactly what you'd call critically acclaimed, most people would agree that Jessica Henwick's badass martial artist, Colleen Wing, was a major highlight, and fans are understandably looking forward to seeing her reprise the role later this year in The Defenders.
The fourth season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. kicked off with its Ghost Rider storyline (or "pod") before moving on to the LMD arc, but it's this current batch of HYDRA/Framework episodes that have garnered the most acclaim from fans and critics alike. This last pod will close-out the season, and ABC has now set a date for the finale, telling us that we'll find out if our heroes manage to escape the Framework on Tuesday, May 16.
Though no one would call Halo 5 a bad game, for many, it was definitely a little underwhelming. While fun for the most part and easy on the eyes, fans felt a little bit alienated when they found themselves in the shoes of a character other than Master Chief for long portions of the campaign. Said character was Spartan Jameson Locke, and though he did have his moments, what people really want from a Halo game is the Chief, and the fifth instalment in the iconic series just didn't give us enough of him.
Well, this is some pleasantly surprising news. The Hollywood Reporter is telling us tonight that Jeff Goldblum, who'll be seen later this year in Marvel's threequel Thor: Ragnarok, has joined the cast of J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World 2. As fans of the franchise will know, the actor starred in 1993's Jurassic Park as well as 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park, so it's great to hear that he's returning to the land of dinosaurs.
