As much as a Sci-Fi film full of laser cannons, ferocious aliens, and non-stop action can be tremendously fun, there's also a very intelligent and explorative nature about the genre. The whole idea of people sacrificing their lives to drive around space for nothing but a picture or rock sample shows the dedication humans have to advancing their knowledge, and the courage people possess that pushes them farther and farther. Europa Report is a brilliant little space exploration flick about a team of scientists going blindly into the unknown all in the name of science - and the challenges they face.

Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Man, These Characters Can Take A Beating
While horror movies are always violent and messy, some characters just get it worse. I mean, it's one thing to be gutted and killed on the spot like most genre victims, but it's another thing to suffer multiple wounds, fight your way through a majority of the film, and then be killed off anyway, as your efforts only prolonged your suffering. Nice try and all, but was it really worth getting all your limbs broken, an eye ripped out, and THEN your throat cut open? Gosh, if I ever have to die in a slasher movie, just make it quick and get it over with.

2 Guns Review
Congratulations Baltasar Kormákur, because you've just set the bar for mindless action movies a little bit higher - or lower depending on how you look at it. Reuniting with Contraband star Mark Wahlberg, 2 Guns is absolutely nothing but exploitative, stylistic, and cliched shoot-em-up action that'll hit you like a secret guilty pleasure. You won't want to like it, and some of you definitely won't on account of Blake Masters' laughably cookie-cutter screenplay, but for those of you who love explosions, glossy action sequences, and modern takes on Wild-West style shoot-outs, Denzel and Marky Mark have your back.

Frankenstein’s Army Review
It's true that the whole Nazi zombie angle has already been explored by Norway's horror comedy Dead Snow, but first time director Richard Raaphorst is looking to one-up Tommy Wirkola's snow-covered slaugtherfest with his own take on undead Nazi soldiers - Frankenstein's Army. Opting not to challenge Wirkola's zombie theme, Raaphorst instead created his Nazi monsters around the work of Dr. Frankenstein, a man who became obsessed with sewing together the leftover parts from dead corpses and reanimating them. I'm honestly not really sure what's scarier: cursed Nazi zombies who want to eat you, or maniacal undead mutant soldiers who want nothing more than to pulverize you. Shit, I didn't think Nazis could get any more evil.

Exploring not only the quirky world of independent film festivals, but the personal lives of Kaveh (Hamedani) and Raul (co-writer Ramon Isao), Hamedani's film introduces us to the unique process of creating and peddling schlock cinema. Coming up from the bottom is anything but glitz and glamor, as you'll do just about anything to secure your big break - even if it includes Looney Tunes style trickery to get alone in a room with super-producer Yukio Tai (James Hong).

Super Troopers 2 Must Raise $15 Million Before Shooting
Meow before you Broken Lizard junkies get discouraged by the title of this article, understand that Super Troopers was in the exact same scenario. Sure, the original's estimated budget of $3 million doesn't exactly seem on the same level as the requested $15 million that will encompass the sequel's production budget and marketing fees, but don't think Super Troopers 2 is in any sort of trouble.

Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: Death Is Such A Cockblock
Everyone knows the unwritten horror rules, and everyone also knows one of the most important rules is avoiding sexual intercourse completely. Why? Because you're just inviting trouble. Just think of all the scenarios you could get yourself caught in. For starters, sneaking away from a group of survivors is about as dumb a move you can make, but then engaging in an act that leaves both you and your partner vulnerable? Yup, you've just made yourself a prime target. Let's take that one step further and pretend you don't know who the killer is - are you really going to risk sleeping the the enemy? Especially when the enemy is killing off his victims one by one? If you want to survive a horror movie, just keep it in your pants, it's that simple!
