Rapture-Palooza Review
Riding my rapture high from seeing This Is The End last night, I woke up this morning and decided to check out a lesser-known apocalyptic comedy released this weekend called Rapture-Palooza. Penned by Chris Matheson, the bodacious dude who wrote Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and directed by Paul Middleditch, I didn't really know what to expect, but the cast of comedic talent attached settled my nerves before the watch. I mean you've got Craig Robinson, Thomas Lennon, Rob Corddry, Ken Jeong, Rob Huebel, Anna Kendrick *drools on keyboard*, and Paul Scheer, so a decent amount of laughs were expected - but unfortunately not achieved.

[Release Date Updated] Curse Of Chucky Set Photo Gives First Official Look At The Iconic Killer Doll
Although we still don't have a release date for Don Mancini's Curse Of Chucky, with reports saying Universal will be releasing it this fall, images and tidbits from production have started to leak out at a pretty consistent basis. Between the behind-the-scenes looks at the puppeteers controlling Chucky and lead actress Fiona Dourif tweeting the soundtrack cover for the film, we've been teased mercilessly with the return of the iconic red-haired devil doll - but as of today, the wait is over. Well, the wait is over to see a picture of him at least.

Hatchet III Review
Like some chewed up roadkill that just won't die, Victor Crowley is once again haunting Honey Island Swamp for yet another Hatchet sequel, but this time with a new director at the helm. BJ McDonnell, a camera operator on both Hatchet and Hatchet II, is passed the directorial torch from creator Adam Green, leading his crew directly into the Louisiana swamps for some down-home shooting for Hatchet III. The bugs were ferocious, climate exhausting, but everyone involved favored the great outdoors over some LA sound stages. Would their bug-spray covered efforts be enough to continue the gory legacy of horror icon in-the-making Victor Crowley? Or would all the cuts, bites, and poisonings be squandered on nothing but a sub-par horror sequel.

Exclusive Interview With Director Adam Green On Hatchet III
When talking about successful modern-day slasher films, it's impossible not to mention 2006's Hatchet. Introducing us to the Louisiana legend of Victor Crowley, writer/director Adam Green seamlessly blended grotesque practical effects work, schlocky 80s style slasher camp, and a darkly comedic tone, which is leading many to deem Victor Crowley a horror icon of our time. Spawning a sequel in 2010's Hatchet II, Green returned to Honey Island Swamp with bigger kills, bigger laughs, and and a drive to keep his franchise afloat - which he did with this year's Hatchet III. While Adam decided to pass directorial duties off to camera operator BJ McDonnell this time around, Mr. Green still wrote the script and stayed on as a producer so he could still be heavily involved in production.

World War Z: A Zombie Film For The Whole Family?
It sadly comes with no surprise that all reports surrounding Marc Forster's upcoming big-budget zombie blockbuster World War Z are pointing towards an action tentpole kind of summer flick with little substance, plenty of explosions, and an absolute disregard for Max Brooks' genius source material. While the woes that have plagued Forster's film have been publicly displayed for all to witness (reshoots, rewrites, flat out ignorance), I've already tackled that in a little article I wrote last week detailing the events that led to a ballooning budget and a mighty hole Paramount now has to dig out of, so I'll spare you the whole "will World War Z flop" routine this time around.

When talking about up and coming names in the horror genre these days, it's hard not to hear about two Canadian sisters named Jen and Sylvia Soska. Their debut feature Dead Hooker In A Trunk was embraced by grindhouse fans with open arms, being called an independent cult classic in the making, and many big names in horror are predicating the brightest of futures for the two filmmakers. But with all this hype surrounding the Soska sisters, could their latest film American Mary deliver the goods?

Exclusive Interview With Directors Gareth Evans And Timo Tjahjanto On V/H/S/2
If you were a fan of V/H/S last year, then I must implore you to see V/H/S/2 as soon as possible. It's already been released via Video On Demand formats, so it's as simple as plopping down on your comfy sofa and using whatever device you have to access this completely improved upon horror sequel. The directors this time around took their ideas to crazy new heights, and each short brought some wonderfully different flavor, but no short was able to even come close to "Safe Haven" by directors Gareth Evans (The Raid) and Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre). Telling the story of a documentary film crew stuck in the middle of a cult's final plans, once "Safe Haven" turns on the floodgates of insanity, there's literally no stoppage until the very last blood-soaked minute.

The Internship Review
Ever since Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson charmed us with their buddy comedy antics in Wedding Crashers, people have been wondering if these two stars would ever reunite again to rekindle the hilarious fire that once was. OK, maybe I don't speak for everyone, but at least I've been wondering when Vaughn and Wilson would team up for another buddy comedy, and my questions were answered when Shawn Levy's The Internship was announced. Two bumbling ex-salesmen trying to fit in at the world's largest and most powerful tech company? Sure, my expectations weren't sky high, but the Vaughn/Wilson connection was enough to drag me to the theater, and you know what - I surprisingly don't regret my decision in the least. I know, I've seen other reviews, you can just go ahead and start hating on me now.
