Fright Night 2: New Blood Review
Ok, wait, so I'm confused. For all intents and purposes, Fright Night 2: New Blood is billing itself as a sequel to 2011's Fright Night remake starring Anton Yelchin and Colin Farrell, yet it has absolutely nothing to do with the previous project. None of the cast returned and the suburban story isn't referenced in the least - in fact, it's quite the opposite. Fright Night 2: New Blood is a spiritual remake all on its own, starting anew with familiar characters thanks to screenwriter Matt Venne. All the characters are named exactly the same, "Evil" Ed yet again starts in human form, Amy is back as Charley's love interest - the only true change is that Gerri is now a female vampire played by the sultry Jamie Murray.

Jigsaw Is Looking For New Victims In Saw 8
Apparently jealous of Paranormal Activity's recent reign of the Halloween box office, Lionsgate is finally ready to bring their once powerhouse Saw franchise back into contention for October horror glory, challenging Oren Peli's deteriorating franchise with a brand new set of torturous deaths. With the Saw franchise being one of the most financially fruitful cinematic franchises of all time, can we actually be that surprised?

American Horror Story: Asylum Blu-Ray Review
As a horror fan, my initial reaction to hearing Glee creators Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy's next project would be a horror-themed series was something along the lines of, "Um, what?" Of course, the first season premiered to some surprisingly positive reviews, appeasing both horror fans and critics alike, not only creating a provocatively creepy vibe, but also presenting a story that kept viewers on edge week to week. That was Season 1 though - Season 2 is a completely different story. No, seriously. American Horror Story: Asylum tells a completely unrelated story to the original season, setting up the anthology collection mentality Season 3 would follow. Numerous cast members returned, Falchuk and Murphy certainly attempted to push boundaries once again - but this maddening story of psychological horror lacked the wit and flowing storytelling that made American Horror Story's inaugural season such a smash-hit.

Fede Alvarez Comments On Yesterday’s Evil Dead 2 Rumors Suggesting His Departure From The Film
Remember yesterday when Evil Dead writer Rodo Sayagues was quoted in an interview saying that both he and Fede Alvarez left the Evil Dead 2 sequel months ago, most prominently because they have a slew of other projects to work on? Remember how I said we should wait for Fede's confirmation before officially freaking out? Well, just as I suspected, Fede Alvarez has come out himself to comment on Sayagues' comments, setting the record straight on this new rumor.

Fede Alvarez And Rodo Sayagues WON’T Be Part Of Evil Dead 2
Wow, I'm not really sure how to take this news right now. Fede Alvarez and his writing partner Rodo Sayagues were the geniuses who rebooted Sam Raimi's Evil Dead to a pretty positive reception (I personally loved the film), with Fede's chaotic vision driving this bloody, violent, balls-to-the-wall horror extravaganza. Not only that, but Fede has been teasing all these crazy ideas on where the franchise can go, from doing multiple sequels to having a new world/old world meet-up between Ashley "Ash" Williams and Mia - tying together both Alvarez's and Raimi's franchises. We know Fede has other projects going on, but he still seemed awfully excited to get Evil Dead 2 going - especially with Army Of Darkness 2 being confirmed.

Embrace Of The Vampire Review
Welcome to "Generic Top-Tier University," where everyone looks like an Abercrombie & Fitch model, sexual intercourse is best had with dormitory doors wide open, cunnilingus is apparently part of the curriculum, and every girl's first time drinking ends with the mandatory lesbionic adventure. Oh, yeah, and since this movie is titled Embrace Of The Vampire, there's some neck biting and blood sucking, but that action doesn't kick in until an hour and four minutes in - leaving plenty of time for this direct-to-video remake to focus on the important things. You know, exploitative tits and ass! Is it just me, or are all of these sexy vampire stories becoming increasingly more repetitive?
