The Star Wars community was left in mourning yesterday evening after news broke that Carrie Fisher, the actress, writer and humorist who played Princess Leia - and later General Organa - so brilliantly throughout Lucasfilm's space opera, had passed away aged 60.

It was a tragic moment and one that left people wondering how the sci-fi franchise would proceed without her. After the actress' role in J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens, she was all set to return for Star Wars: Episode VIII. Colin Trevorrow won't be back to helm Jurassic World 2, as he's off making a small film you may have heard of called Star Wars: Episode IX.
