The bells have rung on the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones, and both the fans and Emilia Clarke have spoken. The verdict? Neither are very happy about this season. When the Mother of Dragons herself isn't happy, you best watch out.
Now that Avengers: Endgame has been in theaters long enough for the dust to settle and the spoiler ban to lift, we can start looking to the future of the MCU. One movie that fans are anxious to set their eyes on is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Not only are we 99% sure Thor will be joining the team, despite Endgame's writers refusing to confirm it, but it just might be drunken Thor, too. Please, please let us see a drunk and chubby God of Thunder one more time.
Simply calling last night's Game of Thrones episode "penultimate" is such an understatement. Sure, it was the second to last of the season, and the series, but oh my God of Light.
If there's one thing that the last season of Game of Thrones has done, besides kill almost every character, it's divided fans. After sticking through eight seasons of the show, it seems they have a right to be angry. Before I go on, consider this your final spoiler warning if you haven't watch Sunday's GoT episode.
A Canadian theater could be in a world of trouble for a while. Or, at least until the children it just traumatized become legal adults. Apparently, workers at the Montreal cinema made a major blooper (pun totally intended) Thursday, when reels for Detective Pikachu and The Curse of La Llorona were mistakenly swapped. What ensued was a mixture of hilarious, horrendous, and I'm not sure what else.
One of the biggest comic book scenes ever put together made its way into Avengers: Endgame when Captain America finally wielded Mjolnir during the final battle. It verified what so many of us assumed all along, that Cap was truly worthy. Even Thor yelled with joy when he summoned the hammer.
It's been over two weeks since the release of Avengers: Endgame, but some of the scenes still have fans talking, and probably will for a while longer. One such moment in the movie occurred before folks could even finish their nachos, and the film's writers have recently come forward about it.
With the quest for the Iron Throne coming to an end next Sunday, the theories predicting the end of Game of Thrones are rolling in. Vegas and offices everywhere are placing bets on who will become the one king to rule them all and posting break room death pools for the characters. Horror master Stephen King has even made his predictions.
Here's something that'll surely stir the Game of Thrones coffee pot a bit. By now you've hopefully heard about Starbucks staking its claim in Westeros last Sunday. In a scene where the survivors of 'The Long Night' are celebrating their insanely narrow victory, courtesy of Arya Stark, a stray coffee cup mysteriously appeared onscreen. It was on the table Daenerys was sitting at, silently enjoying the raucous show.
One of my favorite times of the weeks when a new Game of Thrones episode airs isn't waiting for it to come on. It's not even the equally important act of watching it. No, when the fan reactions to some of the most epic, sexy, awkward or bloody (or all four) scenes roll in, those are the moments I live for. Humanity, for instance, was at its best this past Sunday when Jaime and Brienne rode a dragon upon St. George. Go on...Google that, I dare you.
