As is the case with any with any cinematic fad (especially in the case of horror films) we reach a saturation point, at which time the genre needs to be reworked to keep audiences interested. For zombies, we’ve had them be able to run (Dawn of the Dead), not actually be undead (28 Days Later), be funny (Zombieland) anchor a television series (The Walking Dead) and so on.

Shocker. Even though movie-goers are barely dry from the explosion of superhero awesomeness that was The Avengers, its colossal, record-smashing $207.4 million opening weekend gross was a pretty good indictor that we would be seeing more from the team.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Adds New Thriller Titled Ten To His Comeback Slate
Since sidestepping his movie career for role of Governor in 2004, action legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has quickly lined up a nifty little slate of comeback roles. He will reprise his character Trench in The Expendables 2 as well as taking leading parts in the western The Last Stand and the action films The Tomb and Unknown Soldier. Now, he is set to head David Ayer’s drug cartel thriller Ten.
