Noah Baumbach To Revive The Corrections At HBO
If there was ever proof that TV is quickly becoming the higher art form over film, then this is it. The Corrections, a novel by famed author Jonathan Franzen, is one of those projects that has been stuck in developmental hell for years. Nearly 10 in fact. And uber producer Scott Rudin has fought to keep it alive since 2001, originally planning to be a feature film. However, like most "unfilmable" works, it has now moved to HBO with a pilot order moving forward.

Ben Whishaw And The Cast Of Cloud Atlas Will Swap Roles And Gender
Tom Tywkver and Andy & Lana Wachowski's adaptation of Cloud Atlas has sort of become the definition of the word ambitious. It is based on a book and is a very unwieldy work. It is a collection of 6 stories all of which are neatly interrelated and covers over a century, dipping its toes into many genres and having a Tolkien-esque number of characters. But even more ambitious is the filmmakers' scope for the film which instead of having a bloated cast will see actors take numerous roles.

Kenneth Branagh Skilfully Fills The Shoes Of Laurence Olivier In My Week With Marilyn
There is currently a lot of buzz surrounding Michelle Williams and her role as Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn, which could lead to her being a big contender this coming awards season. While the film's other cast members have been blithely under reported, today brings us a first look at Kenneth Branagh in the film, who will play legendary thespian Laurence Olivier. From what we see in the photo above, it looks like he nailed it.

Showtime Renews The Big C For A Third Season
One of my favourite shows airing at the moment is Showtime's dramedy series The Big C, a heart warming and genuinely funny show (despite what some critics think) that it is perfectly deserving of its Comedy category nominations at the Emmys. It stars the always brilliant Laura Linney as Cathy who has stage 4 melanoma and it deals with her family life as she comes to terms with the disease that will eventually kill her.

Just like the first season, The Walking Dead wants to open its brand new season with an extended episode that will leave zombie fans foaming at the mouth. The idea of having a feature length premiere is something that has become a given for a lot of TV of recent years and it works with something like this. Olivia Munn Will Help Ease The Testosterone For Soderbergh’s Magic Mike
Up until now Steven Soderbergh's male stripper flick Magic Mike has been completely male dominated. Some might think quite rightly considering the subject matter but in my opinion it would be nice to have some form of femininity in there. So far the film has been devoid of actresses, but now Olivia Munn is in negotiations to join the film in the role as leading man Channing Tatum's girlfriend Amber.

Alan Dale Joins Fincher’s Dragon Tattoo, Which Could Premiere In Stockholm
It seems like the shooting period for David Fincher's big budget remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has lasted forever. Even with 4 months left before it opens, the film is still shooting. And although they may be reshoots (very typical for a blockbuster film), it also seems a little odd that more actors are joining the cast at this late period. None the less, it is happening.

The Coen Brothers Will Delve Inside Llewyn Davis For Next Film
The Coen Brothers have earned a well deserved break after bringing us a movie a year since 2007. However, the pair are still working hard and have teased us with what their follow up would be to True Grit, reports back in June told us that they were working on a film based on the folk music scene in 1960's New York. That film has now become a reality and it is called Inside Llewyn Davis.
