Quentin Tarantino’s Next Film Called Django Unchained
We've known for a while that Quentin Tarantino's next project was fast approaching, and that it would be a Western. It was reported, from the mouth of Uma Thurman, that the film would be called A Southern. That seemingly has changed following a tweeted picture brought to us via /Film. If this picture is correct, Tarantino's new film will be called Django Unchained, and will star Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, possibly Keith Carradine (notable for his role as Wild Bill Hicock in HBO's Western series Deadwood) and Franco Nero, who himself starred in a Western called Django.

Brett Ratner Circling A New Hercules Project Set Up At MGM
Last July it was announced that Brett Ratner was looking to direct a new film about the Greek legend of Hercules for producer Avi Lerner. But instead the Rush Hour director chose to make Tower Heist instead with Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck and Matthew Broderick, a comedy heist movie with Noah Baumbach's name on script. Yes I know how odd that sounds. However, Vulture reports that Ratner is now circling a completely new Hercules project called Hercules: The Thracian Wars. The film is set up at MGM and is based on Steve Moore's comic book of the same name, with Ryan Condal behind the script.

Starting life way back in 1997 when Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first published, for the world’s most famous boy wizard it has been a long ride from page to screen. Now after 13 years of Harry Potter being the crux of pop culture, we are finally going to see it come to an end. The final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been split into an epic two parter, the first of which has now been released on Blu-Ray with the concluding chapter readying for July.

New Images From The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
Today sees the release of some new images from the upcoming instalment of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The first of the final two parter of the saga is due for release in November this year, with the second half following a year later. The same cast is retained, Robert Pattison, Kirsten Stewart and Taylor Lautner all still part of the love triangle that has been at the core of the previous movies. Bill Condon is directing this time, probably most known for Dreamgirls and Gods and Monsters.

Gary Busey Joins Piranha 3DD Plus Some Plot Details Revealed
Piranha 3D was crazy, the whole idea of doing a sequel is even more crazy and the notion of Gary Busey being among the cast is crazier. But it's true. Gary Busey has indeed joined in on what promises to be, for bad or good, an insane movie. Piranha 3DD is currently shooting and prepping for a November start date and is this time set in a water park. So man-eating piranhas in 3D in a water park. And with Busey meeting a possible sticky end. I'm sold.

William Forsythe & Charlie Cox Join The Boardwalk Empire Cast For Season 2
The production on Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire has recently begun and new cast members are being added. Today it has been announced that two more actors have joined the stellar cast. William Forsythe and Charlie Cox have signed on as regulars. Forsythe will play Manny Horvitz, a Philadelphia mobster looking to expand his turf to Atlantic City. Cox will play an Irish gangster who has connections to the Irish Republican Army (the IRA), which was only brewing during this period.

X-Men: First Class Theatrical Trailer Released
Not long to go now until we finally get to see what Matthew Vaughn has done with the X-Men franchise in X-Men: First Class. I am extremely excited for it and this trailer has only adds to it, we finally get to look at something approaching a narrative and for a film that has had a supposedly troubled and rushed production it looks marvellous. There is some great inter play between actors Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, and the cast around them particularly Jennifer Lawrence look to be doing terrific work.

Paul Verhoeven Looking To Adapt His Own Novel Jesus Of Nazareth
Of all the things you expect to read this isn't one of them. Deadline has reported that Dutch filmmaker Paul Verhoeven has been attempting to get an adaptation of his co-written book Jesus of Nazareth off the ground. The report says that he and his reps have been trying to raise financing for about a year and a half, this is a project clearly that's very close to his heart.

Vera Farmiga Joins Safe House
Safe House, a thriller written by David Guggenheim and directed by Daniel Espinosa, has been filming for a while, so it is surprising that an actor, especially one as big as Vera Farmiga, is joining at this late stage. The film already has a mouth wateringly good cast which is headlined by Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington. Supporting them are Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Robert Patrick, Tim McGraw and Liam Cunningham.
