Peter Jackson Talks Shooting 3D On The Hobbit
It's strange now to think that The Hobbit is actually shooting, after all the mess with Guillermo del Toro and then a struggle with the rights and then Peter Jackson finally agreeing to helm the project, it seemed like all the odds were against them. Now via his official Facebook page, Jackson has shown himself shooting on set, as well as yesterday's slate for shooting.

New Thor Featurette Released
This summer we are going to be filled to the brim with Marvel superhero films, we have X-Men: First Class, Captain America First Avenger and Thor all being released within months of each other. Thor is due in cinemas in the next couple of weeks and now we have a new albeit short featurette on the making of the movie. What we see of the movie in this looks pretty dazzling and the visual effects gone into creating the fictional homeland of Thor, Asgard, look spectacular. The movie itself also looks like one hell of a fun ride.

New X-Men: First Class International Trailer
The original trailer for X-Men: First Class looked spectacular and now a new international trailer gives a little more footage which just increases the excitement for me. This is the same international trailer we saw a few weeks back but now there is some english included. It's not much but it's better than nothing. The film is still looking to be one of the most exciting blockbusters of the summer and the June 3rd release date can't come soon enough. X-Men: First Class is set to be a reboot of the franchise originally started by Bryan Singer who remains on as producer. The film will be directed by Kick-Ass helmer Matthew Vaughn and has a superb cast including Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne among others.

Sidney Lumet Dies At Age 86
Today we bring you some very sad news, directing legend Sidney Lumet has sadly passed away at the age of 86, who leaves behind a back catalogue of nearly 40 movies. The man was a genius, he made a string of great movies and although starting in television his cinematic debut was 12 Angry Men, now considered one of the greatest films of all time.

The production on the remake of Total Recall is rapidly getting underway as casting for the major characters is just cleaning up. Visual Effects Specialist Tim Miller To Direct Deadpool
Visual effects wunderkind and owner of Blur studios, Tim Miller has been pursued by 20th Century Fox and will be directing the Deadpool movie, tentatively titled X-Men Origins: Deadpool. The film has come about due to the success of the character's appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which prompted the studio to greenlight a whole movie based around the character as a vehicle for actor Ryan Reynolds.
