Ever since Jonathan Majors grabbed the spotlight for his work on Creed III with Michael B. Jordan, he’s been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Through it all, Meagan Good has been seen by his side. So, are the two dating and, if so, is it serious? Here’s what a source that knows them says.
First, it’s important to explain for those unaware that Majors was arrested on March 25 for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges. On June 20, Majors filed a domestic violence complaint against the person who is filing harassment charges against him. He claims that the woman was “drunk and hysterical” and assaulted him.
Since the arrest, Majors has been dropped by his public relations firm — The Lede Company — and was also reportedly dropped from multiple film projects – including The Man in the Basement and an Otis Redding biopic (though he was likely only under consideration for the main role at the time). Additionally, more women have come forward to allege they suffered abuse by Majors.
However, actress Meagan Good — who was most recently in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, is unphased, or so it seems, by the allegations against Majors. The two were seen having dinner together in mid-May in Los Angeles and speculation arose that they were dating.
They were friends but, according to a source close to Meagan who spoke with People magazine, things turned romantic between the two recently. The legal issues that Majors has been struggling with has actually brought them closer.
Meagan Good’s friend further explained, “She and Jonathan are taking it slow but it’s definitely progressing and getting more serious.”
Meagan, 41, was married for nine years to DeVon Franklin but they divorced in June of 2022. Majors, 33, has never been married.
On June 20 of this year, when Majors appeared at the Manhattan Criminal Court, he was accompanied by Meagan as they held hands both when arriving and leaving together.
Meagan’s friend further adds, “She has shown considerable support towards him. She wouldn’t be out and about with him so publicly or be supporting him in his legal situation if the relationship didn’t mean something to her.”
It’s a tumultuous period in Majors’ life to begin dating someone new but it’s also possible that being together during such turmoil can make a relationship immediately strong. Time will tell if that’s the case and if Majors is innocent of the alleged charges against him. In the meantime, Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are dating, bonding, and trying their best to enjoy their present time together.
