Did Jennifer Lawrence have a baby?

'Lawrence of A-baby-a,' anyone?

First things first: There’s a nicer way to inquire about whether or not someone has had a child. Try this on for size: “Jennifer Lawrence looks absolutely radiant. Did she have a baby?”

See? Way nicer. Now that nobody’s feelings are getting hurt, let’s dig in: Did Jennifer Lawrence have a baby? The picture above would have you think “maybe,” but it leaves so many other possibilities in the air. Maybe she just loves strollers. Maybe she gave birth to an invisible child. (Tastemaker that she is, now everyone will want one. It’s going to make photos with Santa look awkward as heck.)

Putting all of that aside for now, we are pleased to inform you that yes, Jennifer Shrader Lawrence ⏤ of the Indian Hills, Kentucky Lawrences ⏤ did, indeed have a baby. As for why she would want to bring a child into the world when she knows that the Hunger Games are right around the corner, that’s entirely her business.

The No Hard Feelings star welcomed her first child, Cy, in February of 2022. The 33-year-old actress sired this miracle of life with the help of her husband, Cooke Maroney, an art gallery director whom she married in October of 2019, and the couple named the lad after 20th century American painter Cy Twombly.

In an interview with Good Morning America in June of 2023, Lawrence stated her intention to take a break from acting following the birth of her firstborn. “Once you start a family, that’s the greatest thing in the world,” she explained. “I’m just gonna try to take in every second and be present and enjoy it.”
