As the main criminal case involving Sean “Diddy” Combs finally winds down, several other sexual assault cases are still being filed — the latest even involving his own son, Justin Combs.
As is now known, the Diddy freak-off fiasco has been dragging in other celebrities associated with him, and it’s no different with Justin Combs, 31, who, according to documents obtained by Page Six, was allegedly part of a Diddy scheme to lure a woman to Los Angeles, where she was sexually assaulted by a masked Diddy and his associates.
The woman claims she met Justin through Snapchat in 2017. After frequent correspondence — including one instance where Justin allegedly asked for explicit pictures, which she says she sent — Diddy’s son invited her to Los Angeles.
She says she took the trip under the impression that Justin would help her get connections and further her budding entertainment career. Upon arrival, she was picked up by a driver and taken to Justin’s house, where she spent the night.
The following day, she reportedly went out with Justin, where she was given a cocktail of drugs she now believes was laced. She claims that later, three masked men arrived, and while they were masked, she recognized one as Diddy based on his mannerisms. She was then allegedly sexually assaulted from Saturday into Sunday afternoon, after which she was escorted back to the airport to catch her flight.
Diddy’s main trial is now in its closing arguments stage, with a verdict expected soon. The case didn’t start off well for him, and while this is a separate case, it’s worth mentioning that Diddy has already been accused of trying to tamper with alleged victims and witnesses, so the authorities will likely remain on high alert. Perhaps that’s another reason the woman has chosen to remain anonymous.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team appears emboldened, as some of the key charges in the main case have reportedly been dropped, and they’ve been bullish in their responses to these latest allegations. One of his lawyers reportedly stated, “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor.”
According to Diddy’s lawyers they have full confidence in the impartial judicial process and look forward to the opportunity to prove that this lawsuit is frivolous. Diddy’s lawyer added, “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason.”
It’s clear that even in the unprecedented scenario where Diddy’s RICO charge fails and he walks away scot-free, his days in court won’t end anytime soon. The only remaining question now is: with acts like Kanye West already crawling back to embrace him, will Hip-Hop culture reclaim him once the case ends? Will we see rappers wearing “Free Diddy” shirts at concerts?
Well, if that does happen, considering how vehemently Diddy denied their decades-long friendship, there’s one person who definitely won’t embrace him back: Jay-Z. For better or worse, Jay’s late but firm separation and denunciation of the embattled Bad Boy founder seemingly put a nail in that relationship. Hopefully, the rest of the Hip-Hop community will follow suit.
